November - Pick It For Me! Challenge

Here's some recommandations from me ;) I hope you'll find something you like here. If not, just let me know :D
From your TBR
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich - funny and light read with a very endearing heroine
Bitten by Kelley Armstrong - rather slow-paced, but still one of my favories
New to you
The Duke And I by Julia Quinn - lovely historical romance, I love the plot and the couple.
The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann - and another one of my favorites. I was recommended to read this book (and the series) a while back in this challange. It's romantic suspence with intricate background. I truly wish to recommend the whole series to you, though, not just this one book :D
From my TBR
Wolf at the Door by Christine Warren
The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro
I don't know much anout those two, I'm afraid I haven't read them yet, heh. I hear good and/or intresting opinions about them, so... :)
Happy reading!

Hi KimKirt! I love all of your recommendations. I think I'll read Cry No More by Linda Howard this month :D Thank you!

Thanks for the great picks. I didn't check my picks until this morn..."
Your very welcome! What a coincidence! I'm reading Unraveled this month, as well! The library order finally came in & I'm picking it up tomorrow. Here's hoping it's just as good or better than Intertwined. =)

Hi Sue,
Thanks for you great suggestions, I'm going to go with:
Good in Bed!
xo

That leaves me with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo or Lake News. I've heard the first starts slowly but then you really get into it and can't wait to find out what happens. As for the latter, I have never read a Barbara Delinsky. We'll see which of these I find first. Of course if Undone pops out while I'm about, maybe I'll go with that.

I've never read any books by Karin Slaughter before. I assure you, you don't need to read any of her previous books before Undone! I didn't know she had previously wrote about the main characters, but like I said, she writes about the characters as if it was the 1st time they were introduced. Along with me, 3 other of my co-workers read this and loved it, and like me never touched any of her books before ;) So if this one seems like the most interesting, totally go for it! xo

From your TBR -
Untouched - I gave this book 5 *s
Outlander - You have this listed as Cross Stitch - my favorite series of all time
New to you -
Caleb - I just read this book and thought it was fantastic
Hawksong - This says its a YA book, but it didn't have that feel at all. Very good series so far.
From my TBR -
Crown of Crystal Flame - love the series
A Wallflower Christmas - I've read all the other books in the series but not this one yet

Here are your picks...
From Your TBR
1. Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie
Probably my favourite JC book. I love this heroine - what can I say her obsession wit..."
Oooh Tania - good picks! There's 3 that are my favorites. I'll go with The Nymphos of Rocky Flats, I have it on my library book shelf and I know I'll have to get to it this month. Thanks!

2. Serengeti Heat by Vivi Andrews - It was a cute read :)

Next to read 3. Laid Bare [bookcover:Laid Bare..."
Wow, that was fast, let me know what you think of Laid Bare!!!

Here's some recommandations from me ;) I hope you'll find something you like here. If not, just let me know :D..."
- Thanks, those are great Annvelwis, I will probably go with Janet Evanovich, but that Julia Quinn and Suzanne Brockmann both look good enough to add to my tbr.
Funny note, I recommended Bitten this month also, so I may have to move that one up my tbr list.

I'm right there with you Melissa!

Will be working up a list for remaining recommendation but not till tomorrow night. Will Get you all recommendations - Soon :)
Thanks Anja for the offer.

Thanks Anja for the offer."
They aren't "late" yet...it's just hard to wait :)
10 isn't actually that bad.

The person I made recs for is supposed to pick for Fran. If Fran does not receive her recommendations in time I would be happy to pick for her.

Thanks Penney!

From your TBR:
Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward - I saw that you read the first one but didn't continue on...I strongly encourage you to! It is an amazing series & only gets better.
Holy Smokes by Katie MacAlister - she is one of my absolute favorite authors & I will read anything by her! You've already read the first three in the series & it looks like you enjoyed it, so keep reading! She has more dragon books & they're all fun with really great heroines :)

New to you:
Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles - it's one of my 5 star reads, it's edgy & emotional & an heartfelt YA romance
Three Days to Dead by Kelly Meding - this is one of my favorite finds by a new author. It is a very fast-paced UF with an involved but incredibly interesting world, 5 stars here too :)

From my TBR:
All The Pretty Girls by J.T. Ellison - I don't read much suspense but I see that you do so you might enjoy this one! I met the author & she is an absolutely amazing woman & I look forward to reading her work!
Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian - I've heard such good things about this series & I own the first one so I don't know what's keeping me! Maybe we can check this one out together :D

------------------------------------------------------------
Angelique, those were great recs, thanks! :) I actually just finished Confessions of Vampire's Girlfriend last night & LOVED it! If you haven't read her YA books about Fran & Ben, I would read those first because Katie does reference them & it's more fun to know their history :) They are a GREAT couple - probably my favorite Dark Ones yet!
I'll probably read Undead & Unwed or Tempting the Beast :) I really like Lora Leigh too, so thanks again!

Here are my recommendations. I hope you find something you enjoy :)
From Your TBR
Mr. Impossible by Loretta Chase-funny and touching with an unusual setting
[bo..."
Thanks for the great recs.
I'll have to check which ones are available, and I'll let you know which one I will read.

Sorry for the lateness of my picks. Btw, great TBR!
From your TBR:
The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever by Julia Quinn. - I loved the story. Julia Quinn did a great job with this.
A Rake's Vow by Stephanie Laurens. I am a big Stephanie Laurens fan and the Cynster series is awesome!! I saw you really like the Devil's story and I am sure you will like the second one too.
New to you:
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley. I noticed this author was not on your TBR list, and this is a great book to start reading of the author.
Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. Another author I saw that only had one book, but not this one. The Hathaway series is great, and I just became a fan of Kleypas after reading this book.
From my TBR:
I think you have both of the books on your TBR list, and I have wanted to read them for a long time, and hopefully this month I will get to read them. Also, it is different from the many historical romance I suggested earlier.
The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter.
The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole.
I hope you enjoy reading one of the books from this.
Thanks!!

Thanks for the list, and its great. It has most of the books I have been meaning to read and added a few to my own TBR. I am going to read the The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins for this challenge, I have heard so many good things about it. It will be great if you are reading it too, we can compare notes in the end.
Thanks!!

I didn't love Dark Lover like everyone else seems to so I didn't continue...yet. As far as Holy Smokes, I too am a huge MacAlister fan and I was putting off this book because it had been so long since I read the first three that I wanted to do a reread and I just never made the time. I might just jump back in though. I actually own all the dragon books...she's an author I buy automatically. I'm terrible about buying books and not reading them.
I love the sound of Perfect Chemistry and my library has it so I will probably start with that. Three Days to Dead sounds right up my alley so I am on the hunt for a copy of that as well. UF is my favorite.
Kiss of Midnight (and all the ones after it) are sitting collecting dust on my bookshelves. Again...books bought = not read...it's awful! I think I'll give that one a try this month if you are too! All the Pretty Girls will go on my future list. It sounds great.
Thanks for all the recommendations!

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding Sue! If we both don't get our recs by tonight, maybe we can pick for each other!

I mean.. :_: *Cough* Congratulations! Yes, congratulations! Yup! xD
And I'm also still waiting for mine. *Nod*

I am so sorry I am late this month! I am working on your pics right now and I will post them ASAP!!!

From your TBR
1. One Scream Away one of my Goodread friends actually recommended this one to me and I loved it!
2. Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake I picked this up at the store one day when I was sick and couldn't put it down! it was fun and just so good.
New to you...
3. I noticed you have quite a few historical romance books and you have not read any by Kat Martin so I am recommending you try one of her books either Savannah Heat or Natchez Flame
4.Lori Foster is an author that I can always count on to provide a good read, most of her books are quick, but they never fail to lift my spirits when I need it... maybe try Say No To Joe?
New for us both...
5. On your TBR you have listed several books by Catherine Anderson, I really love her for what I call a Mushy Gushy Book... the kind that make you feel all happy and squishy inside! I have Keegan's Lady on my TBR and from what I have seen on your book lists I think you might enjoy it too...
6. also my sister has recomended Third Degree to me several times and I would love to read it and noticed you don't have it either!
I hope you find something on here that you like but if not let me know and I will search again!

I think I'm going to go with A Quick Bite. I have only read J R Ward's vampire series (Black Dagger Brotherhood) as paranormal is not my favorite genr..."
I'll be reading A Quick Bite as well this month - so we can compare notes!

Thanks! She's marrying a very nice man so I'm really happy about the whole thing (except some of the costs!!). As for the recommendations, I would be happy to do that. If I don't remember to check tonight and we haven't received any, please send me a message and I'll have it done before the morning!

Sounds great!

Thanks Debbie!

Did you private message them to Fran?
That would be great, thanks.
