November - Pick It For Me! Challenge
Rules:
1. Everything will be done in THIS thread.
Please make your recommendations HERE.
2. Make sure to check back BEFORE the 2nd of November and make recommendations for your partner. If we do not hear from you in this thread or through a private message by 10pm CDT, I will assume you will not be participating. Therefore I will re-assign your partner to somebody else.
Taking a cue from Jim in last months challenge, I have changed up the recommendations a little bit. I am running this as primarily a TBR based challenge, so here are the recommendation guidelines for this month.
3. Give 6 book choices to your partner.
(2) From their TBR – try to pick something that you have read and hopefully enjoyed. If there is not any you have read yourself try to pick ones that you have heard good things about.
(2) New to Them - whether it is the author or the book, give them at new titles that are not even on their TBR.
(2) From your TBR – share two of the books with them that you have been wanting to read it may already be on their TBR as well as on yours or it may be new to both you and to them.
* Those with small TBR's, will need to increase the New to You category to fulfill the 6 recommendations for your pickee.
Of course we are only committed to FINISH 1 recommendation; but this will give your partner different options to choose from depending on their reading mood.
Please set your profiles to PUBLIC until the 2nd of November. In case I need to get in contact with any of you, or if I need to look at your profile for the pairing (which I do).

This challenge is primarily based on the TBR (To Be Read list) of each one of the participants. To make your recommendations you need to dig into the TBR of the person you are picking for. Some people have small TBR lists while others have rather large ones. So, let's give some of you who don't keep much of a TBR a break from having to dive in to a larger TBR of those of us who drop a lot in them. After the close of this challenge sign up, I gathered the information I needed (got all your "to-read" numbers) and so everyone is picking for someone with a similarly sized TBR.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it this month because I'm trying to finish some challenges by the end of the year...but as the choices are TBR related, I can't help myself! Thanks, Debbie!

What's a Pick-It-For-Me Challenge?
It's a group recommend a book thing - works just like a Secret Santa or Xmas Exchange, except that the gift is replaced by a book recommendation. Just like in Secret Santa, the givee-giver pairings are randomly assigned (unless noted, during sign up). So whomever you get, you recommend a book for them. In return, you'll have a book recommended to you (some options are given, to choose from). After you're done reading your Pick-It-For-Me book, a short post with some feedback - a mini-review of sorts would be appreciated.
For this challenge, you need either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable) or make the person who'd be doing the recommending to you, your friend. On top of that, I strongly advise keeping your bookshelves updated, otherwise you might end up with a recommendation for something that you have already read.
Signing up period will remain open until the 29th of October. You'll have time until ~ the 2nd of November to make your recommendations. Everything will be done in this thread so check it often. Also, please be sure you really want to participate. Once I pair up people, it makes it difficult to re-pair when someone decides not to participate.
