1. Fabulous Beast - Stephanie James aka Jayne Ann Krentz, finished 11/2/10, 2*
2. Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress #4) - Jeaniene Frost, finished 11/3/10, 4*
It's amazing how action packed one book can be + what an emotional roller coaster, oh my, oh my. And it didn't go as I expected but now I have loads of questions :P
3. First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World #1) - Jeaniene Frost
4. Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World #2) - Jeaniene Frost

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I actually loved that one more than the 3rd. Have you gotten to ...well I don't want to spoil anything...where are you at?

message 103: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments oh! You're done!!! What did you think of the big fight???

I don't know that the first one was weak...I thought as far as first books in a series goes it was pretty good, especially the ending. I love that series. I LOVE Bones. gosh... yummy yum yum!

message 104: by KK (last edited Nov 03, 2010 11:12AM) (new)

KK (kk84) | 317 comments I think when I wrote my peeking comment I was where Bones threw the piano against the wall and walked away.

I'm not saying Halfway to the Grave wasn't good, just that comparing it to the rest of the series it wasn't as good. I also liked the ending of it very much.

My absolute fave was One Foot in the Grave but comparing 3rd and 4th I'm not sure which I liked best. I think it's a draw for me - some parts I liked better in one and some in the other.

The fight, the fight, the fight - just finished and I can't figure out what I think about it. The ending was just wooosh! suddenly there and .... and ... she just lied and everything was ok again?!!?! I still have to work this through but at the same time I want to go on with the next book.
Sometimes I hate when I go from one book to the other not digesting long enough and just jumping to the next. Feels like I might miss something but I can't stop myself. Rereads always give some more depth cause you're not rushing to the end so you'd know how it ends but take in all the details etc.

Heh, I may blab as much as I want but let's be honest I'm already on to First Drop of Crimson :)

message 105: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I loved the fight! I though it was authentic and about time. OFITG is my absolute fave as well..i mean chapter 32..come on and it was so freakin funny. I preferred the 4th over the 3rd. I didn't like the whole fake out Bones dying thing....1)thats just not nice or funny and 2)there was NO WAY IN HELL Bones was gonna be dead...so the whole time I'm reading it, I'm just waiting for him to come back...

Anyway...enjoy first drop of crimson..haven't read it yet...let me know what you think. I might read it next month!

Mwhahah. But damn it, my stupid school work is not leaving me with enough time in the day to read! I'm still only on like chapter 3 of AHLNO! D:

message 110: by D.G. (last edited Nov 04, 2010 04:33AM) (new)

D.G. My reading of World War Z is going somewhat slow - even though it's good - but I got Extreme Exposure in the mail yesterday and I'm dying to read it. I think I'll just pick it up and read it because I know I'll be thinking of that book all day long and it will only stop my progress in the other book (see how I justify myself, LOL! :p)

message 111: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckysbusyreading) | 320 comments I will join in also with the goal of reading 10 books total.

message 121: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Yep! The story Kara is following, Pamela covered, too. I think that's why so much of her story seems real, because she's taken them from stories she's either broken herself or helped investigate.

I'm not going to suggest it again. I got chewed out last time. Time for someone else to lay on the train tracks.

message 127: by Desperado (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) I'm sorry to hear you got chewed out, UM. =( I don't think it matters at this point. LOTS of members are begging for the half stars & GR basically said "It's not a big priority. We'll get to it when we get to it." Meh.

message 128: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I know, and the people who don't "like" the idea don't seem to think those of us who do should have a choice or a say in the matter.

message 129: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments I don't get that. If they don't like the 1/2 stars, they don't have to use it. They could keep rating their books using only the "full" stars. Why don't they want other people to have the option of using 1/2 stars? Bah!

message 130: by Desperado (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) I agree, UM & Dina. It's sad but some people think just because something isn't important to them, it isn't important at all.
