Just finished 15.8- Is that an eye?I read Eight Days to Live: An Eve Duncan Forensics Thriller by Iris Johansen. Here's the synopsis to make it easier.
The main character, Jane, is a painter. A portrait she calls "Guilt" stirs up controversy in a cult who believes she must die because she is a "blasphemer".

For this task I used the list 6 Books (by Current Authors) that knock my socks off.
I chose About a Boy by Nick Hornby.
Is this book flashlight worthy... probably not, as much as I enjoyed it, I couldn't see staying up late to read it. I would be content to not, although I might if I didn't have to get up the next morning, it was not so unputdownable that I would stay up late on a worknight for it.

I love a good historical thriller, both in film and in text. This book had wonderful descriptions of Eastern Europe at different time periods that made it feel very authentic.
