15.5- "The Great Authors Were Great Readers, And One Way To Understand Them Is To Read The Books They Read." — Mortimer J. AdlerOn this website (Top Ten Books) you will find a list of authors and their top 10 favorite books. For this task...Read a book written by one of these authors AND a book from their top 10 list.
Author: I chose Jodi Picoult and read Second Glance.
From Jodi's Top 10: Life of Pi Life of Pi really frustrated me, and I didn't like it very much. It was way longer than it should have been, had some bad grammar in places, and took too long to get to the point. The good thing is I didn't see it coming, so I guess that says I can still be surprised, and that not all books these days are exactly alike or formulaic. Even so, I still didn't like it much. Parts of it really grossed me out, and in one place I wanted to vomit. Not an enjoyable read. Vent over.

20.6 - Supporting Goodreads Authors - Nicole CA's Task - List MakerI read The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It was well written and kept me intrigued through out the entire story. Nicholas Evans brings the characters to life and you feel the pain, sorrow and happiness that the characters do. He does not shy away from harsh realities that people have to deal with. I gave it 5 stars and would add it to a must read list.
