You might need to do a little toiling for this task but I don't think you will have too much trouble. On August 7,1606 William Shakespeare's Macbeth was performed publicly for the first time (at the Great Hall at Hampton Court). In honor of this event and this famous line you will need to read 2 books that...
A. Have the same title but are written by different authors (EXAMPLE: Twilight AND Twilight)
OR
B. Have very similar covers...(EXAMPLE: & )
Cabinet of Curiosities and Cemetery Dance both are by Preston and Child (Similar covers)

Do you feel lucky...are the dice on your side? For this task you will need to visit the website (3 Random Dice). I.E. if you rolled a 3,5,2 you would need to read a book between between 342 and 362 pages long (EXAMPLE: Son of a Witch (Wicked Years, #2)). You can only click on the link one time.

Must-Read lists abound. Let's create our own! For this task, read a book that is at least 300 pages and tell us whether it is a must-read or not and why.
Little Bee by Cleave (Goodreads Author) paperback is 304 pages
“Considered by some to be the next Kite Runner, Little Bee is an achingly human story set against the inhuman realities of war-torn Africa. Wrenching tests of friendship and terrible moral dilemmas fuel this irresistible novel.” Excellent, but harsh, very much like Kite Runner- excellent literature but difficult subject matter (genocide, rape, suicide)

I read A Week in December by Sebastian Faulks. I won this book in a giveaway, and I gave it 4*. I would put it on the Must Read list since it is a brilliant social commentary on the current state of our world in regard to economics, drugs, the influence of television and many other interesting topics. This book is dense at times, because the material can be quite heavy, but Faulks has a fantastic insight into people, which I really enjoyed reading. Check it out if you get a chance.

Favorite genre - Fantasy
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
Second favorite genre - Historical Romance
The Club by Sharon Page
Fantasy
I don't really know why I like fantasy so much. It must be because it's such an escape from everyday life. I get really bored with this world, so I like to imagine different worlds and live in them through the characters.
I read the second book in the Percy Jackson series - The Sea of Monsters.
While most of Sea of Monsters is pretty goofy and action-packed, there were a few serious moments in the book, which is what I need to keep me hooked on a series. These books really aren't as similar to Harry Potter as I'd first heard there being claims too, but I started to notice a couple of significant parallels toward the end. However, the writing style, characters, and settings are so very different from HP, so this series is completely original. This book starts about a year after the last one ends. The ending really drew me in, and I think I'll have to read the third one. It's hard to review this book without giving too much away, since some people may not have read the first book. One thing that I don't like about these books (but others may like) is that Percy is in life or death situations, and the tone of the book does not match the severity of what he is involved in. It makes it unrealistic and hard for me to sympathize with the characters. There is plenty of action in this book all the way up until the end, even after the main conflict of this particular book is solved. I really don't like all action books, but for most people, I think this would be seen as a plus to the books.
Historical Romance
Historical novels are another way of immersing myself into a different world, and as for the romance part - well, I can't resist a good love story. Maybe it's easier for me to like more of the characters since they are from another time, and it's hard for me to judge them since I don't know firsthand what life was like in that time.
I really haven't read too many of this genre yet, so I can't tell how The Club compares to others. There was an interesting, dangerous mystery going on throughout the whole book. It really dragged on for a while, but then toward the end, this book became more of a page turner. I enjoyed the evolution of Jane's character - from timid and fearful to confident and brave at the end. I also enjoyed watching her previous perceptions of Christian completely turn around as well. The reader gets to make these discoveries about him along with Jane.

I read The Wapshot Chronicle. It's on the MLA list of top 100 books to read. I gave it 4 stars - if you like stories about family history and legacy, I'd consider this book a must read. It follows a father and two sons as they grow up, establish themselves, and the importance of carrying on the family name.

A) My favorite genre is fantasy. I read the book The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner. The reason I love fantasy is because I enjoy escaping into other worlds where everything the mind can think of is possible. I also thought The Queen of Attolia was an amazing read and had very strong and interesting characters. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a fantasy book that always keeps you guessing.
B) My second favorite genre is mystery. For that I read Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. The reason I love mystery goes back to my childhood when I first saw the movie Basil the Great Mouse Detective. Ever since than I've been obsess with mysteries.
I like it mostly because I like guessing "whodunit." (Although I am usually wrong.) Plus because most of the time it is nice knowing that even if there is great evil in this world the good guys usually prevail. Anyway I love all of Agatha Christie's books and I would recommend them to all the mystery lovers out there, or even if you are just dipping your toes into the genre. I especially like Murder on the Orient Express because all the suspects had their own personalities and it was very well written with an interesting twist at the end.

I finished 10.2, Fill in the Blank, with
The Girl Who Fell From the Sky by GR author Heidi W. Durrow
This was a really strong book- some lines were crystalline.
10.3, Same Time Same Place, Same Book, with
Little Bee by GR author Chris Cleave
Jennifer was online at the same time. GR provides such cool stats- 977 other people were currently reading it
I thought the parts from Little Bee's perspective were very good. Other parts were muddy and I just wanted to get through the pages until Bee was back.
25.6, Ashley's Summer Lovin', with
Runaway Dream: Born to Run and Bruce Springsteen's American Vision
My song is Springsteen's Born to Run- It would be hard to come of age in New Jersey in the late 70's, early 80's without some Bruce on the playlist of your life. My summer memories are of road trips with friends to the pre-Snookie Jersey Shore- a car full of girls heading to Sandy Hook, Point Pleasant, or Long Beach Island with the windows down singing along with Bruce.

My second favorite genre is horror, preferably the creepy/gothic type. I read We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson and gave it 4 stars. It's about the remnants of a reclusive family living on the outskirts of a small town. It mainly focuses on the two sisters trying to make a life for themselves after most of their family have died from arsenic poisoning.

B. Penny Lane reminded me of myself because she values her friends more than boys. She also really loves music, she's really stubborn, everybody likes her and she really has no enemies, and people trust her. These are all qualities I have as well.
