message 7651: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not sure I'd use the adjective 'cute', but I do like them and find them remarkable.

TPBM has or has had at least one pet reptile.

message 7652: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Never have, but I've always been fascinated by them :)

TPBM finds the graphic novel an interesting development in storytelling.

message 7653: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10166 comments My interest in them started when I took a Graphic Novels course in college. Of course, I got a C+ in the class and wasn't happy about it, but I remember all of those authors like Alison Bechdel, Alan Moore, and Charles Burns. Damn good ones too.

TPBM used to eat Flintstone Vitamins when he or she was a kid.

message 7654: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments No. I did not. Come to think of it, I never ate Vitamins. I just ate everything my mum made. Thank goodness she was conscious of what a kid should eat.

TPBM wonders if he/she should buy a gaming console.

message 7655: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm not a gamer, so the thought never crossed my mind.

TPBM wonders if they should make pancakes or waffles for breakfast.

message 7656: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments My breakfast was a latte and a chicken wrap that I bought at a coffee place on campus. So I didn't have to deal with that decision, as heavenly as it sounds.

TPBM tries to listen to new songs every now and then.

message 7657: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Not really, most of my efforts music-wise go towards remembering to listen to older favorites :)

TPBM finds it extremely helpful to draw sketches of the characters they're writing about.

message 7658: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Considering my skills are limited to stick figures and shadows, it's not super helpful for me.

TPBM writes out detailed character and setting profiles before starting a story.

message 7659: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I've done that, but it's difficult for me to actually write the story afterwards... The outlining is super fun, though :D

TPBM has watched and enjoyed the old black and white 'Adventures of Robin Hood' show :)

message 7660: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I can't say I have.

TPBM uses the Goodreads app so often that they're always surprised when they log on using the computer and the site has been updated.

message 7661: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes.

TPBM has already voted on the polls this week.

message 7662: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10166 comments No, I have not.

One of TPBM's favorite actresses is CCH Pounder.

message 7663: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes! Absolutely! She's fantastic.

TPBM watched 'Warehouse 13'.

message 7664: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I can't say I've even heard of it.

TPBM sometimes sees the international covers of their favorite books and is very jealous.

message 7665: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes! Although I did get a few UK editions by accident once, that was pretty fun :)

TPBM likes books without any romance in them.

message 7666: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't like to read books focused on romance, but I'm not entirely opposed to them as long as they don't interfere with the plot and storylines that I actually care about.

In both books and movies, TPBM finds self-righteous angst in narrators to be boring.

message 7667: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Depends on how it's handled, I suppose. If the angst results in some kind of positive action, it can be pretty cool, but angst for the sake of angst is just plain frustrating.

TPBM likes fantasy books that focus more on realism than on magic.

message 7668: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'll read books with or without magic, but if there's magic, it needs to be well done.

TPBM finds magic with clear limits and rules to be much more believable and consistent.

message 7669: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Not necessarily. It's always seemed to me that 'real' magic would be a rather mysterious thing, and not something that could really be limited to a kind of science. I do enjoy some science-magic books, though :)

TPBM is going to grow a vegetable garden this year.

message 7670: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) My family always does.

TPBM hates being asked what the book they're reading is about because the answer is either a) a five-word summary that sounds rude or b) an actual account of book until the person has a thousand yard stare.

message 7671: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yep, very accurate. Although there are those few rare and lovely people who, when they ask about what you're reading, actually have some interest in what you're reading. Those can be pretty fun conversations :)

TPBM has accidentally drunk paint water at some point in their life.

message 7672: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10166 comments No, I can't say I ever have. I'd probably be dead if that happened.

TPBM wonders why piano players are called pianists, guitar players are called guitarists, but racecar drivers aren’t called racists.

message 7673: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Hahaha well I'm wondering that now...

[paint water isn't really poisonous, but it doesn't taste all that great either :)

TPBM loves any kind of foreign accent.

message 7674: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Meh. It depends.

TPBM is multilingual.

message 7675: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I can catch the gist of a few statements in Russian and could probably make myself understood, but I'm very far from being bilingual :)

TPBM loves finding old books written in other languages.

message 7676: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sometimes.

TPBM has studied Latin.

message 7677: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes, though not extensively. Greek seems more friendly, to be honest :)

TPBM is continually frustrated by cat fur on their clothes.

message 7678: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I am not.

TPBM has, or knows someone who has, a three legged cat.

message 7679: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Not that I can recall...

TPBM has a few memories they aren't sure actually happened.

message 7680: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Mar 17, 2016 09:51PM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Yes true. But then again I "remembered" them during really tough times so maybe it was just my brain trying to adapt to traumatic experiences and to that effect probably made stuff up.

TPBM has about three friends they know they'd give the shirt off their back for.

message 7681: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes.

TPBM is shy?

message 7682: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Not as much as when I was a kid, at least.

TPBM can't stop themselves from digging for spoilers to their favorite shows.

message 7683: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments I try not to, but then my friends just spoil it for me.

TPBM has been to an aquarium before.

message 7684: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've been to a few, and they're just lovely!

TPBM reflexively avoids movie spoilers even if they've already read the book.

message 7685: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments I try to.

TPBM prefers books over movies.

message 7686: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, but mainly because books have more flexibility and room to develop intricate plot lines.

TPBM prefers TV shows over movies.

message 7687: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments It depends.

TPBM has been to a carnival before.

message 7688: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. But movies are a close second.

TPBM loves the smell of books.

message 7689: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I was at a carnival for my job once, it was pretty fun :)

And I love the smell of books! Especially old ones :)

TPBM has built something cool in the last few months.

message 7690: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Hmm, maybe not. I'm not very hands-on.

TPBM is a people person.

message 7691: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments People can be fun, but I like being alone best of all, or maybe with one really good friend :)

TPBM went through a period of extreme obsession with Myers-Briggs personality types.

message 7692: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Who? I think that answers it.

TPBM's house is white?

message 7693: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Nope, grey. Or possibly a faded blue, it's hard to tell :)

TPBM thinks that there is a wealth of untapped storytelling potential in odd tales from history.

message 7694: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments A lot.

TPBM always has some sort of writing material nearby.

message 7695: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Pretty much, except on those lovely occasions when something desperately needs to be written down, in which case there is no writing material to be found anywhere.

TPBM is doing beta-reads for a friend right now.

message 7696: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10166 comments I'm doing that for my lovely friend Marie Krepps and she's doing it for me as well. I'm critiquing her short stories and she's critiquing my published novel Occupy Wrestling. I don't know what I'd do without her. She's awesome. :)

TPBM feels like a kid again when riding go-karts.

message 7697: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I love go-karts! Never notice any distinct feeling of kid-ness when I ride them though :)

TPBM is watching season two of Daredevil right now.

message 7698: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. [Myers-Briggs, eh? I preferred Jung's psychological types, which is the foundation of Myers-Briggs. And one of the long time WSS members is an MB expert, and is totally amazing.]

TPBM bought a new book today.

message 7699: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Mar 18, 2016 10:34PM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments I wish! I have my eyes on a few books. It's funny I just looked for a particular book today at the store but it was probably bought already.

TPBM wished they could construct a bookshelf (or more) for their collection!

message 7700: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10166 comments I tried to build one recently, but I had my step-dad do it instead since it was frustrating the hell out of me.

TPBM loves watching TV-MA rated shows and R-rated movies.
