TPBM
[@Deepak that is so awesome! I love weird facts like that :D have you read A Browser's Dictionary by John Ciardi? he has just a random list of words with interesting histories and origins in there, and it's really fascinating :)
[@Grace, sounds like an interesting book.]I do, and have spent my life immersing myself in them. One of those immersions lead me to write a course called 'Economics Debunked' because current economic beliefs and practices are, basically, religious ideology/zealotry.
TPBM enjoys looking up new words when reading challenging books that they find totally engaging.
New words are awesome! It's especially fun for me to find ones describing thoughts and feelings, since those are usually the hardest things to express :) TPBM finds it difficult to not go on rabbit trails while researching new subjects.
It's interesting. A little embarrassing if I were insisting I was right about something, maybe.TPBM is determined to read the Game of Thrones series...eventually.
Not really. I like the trend of complex political fantasy the Game of Thrones series has popularized, but I think the books and show would be a bit too edgy for me :) TPBM enjoys reading crazy adventure stories with lots of witty banter.
Not a fan, but I have been known to enjoy them, when they are either well written and funny, or so badly written that they are funny.TPBM thinks that s/he saw a UFO once.
If I ever do see a UFO, I hope it's not a Tie Fighter from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Ever since seeing that movie earlier this evening, I now have it on the brain.TPBM wants to give belly rubs and ear scratches to Disney’s Pluto dog.
"The Person Below Me", Hattie.Garrison, I've not had the urge.
TPBM has drawn his/her own comics or comic strip.
Yep! I'm working on a graphic novel at the moment, and it's pretty fun :D TPBM likes making up flags for fictional countries.
I've done that a few times, so yes. TPBM tries to create country profiles for their fiction stories so they can know about its economic, political, and social systems before starting the story.
It depends on the story. If the whole country a necessity for my plot, that sort of planning definitely has to be done.TPBM likes reading modern stories inspired by history.
Yes! Love that concept. Especially futuristic-type stories that seem to be repeating history :) TPBM loves how everything looks in the moonlight.
Definitely! Especially on clear nights when you can see stars for miles. TPBM has donated blood before.
Feet are cool. Ridiculously difficult to draw though; I've always been more fascinated by hands :) TPBM loves energy drinks.
No, no I don't. I 'see' things through echolocation mostly, and move around with the aid of antennae... XD TPBM likes reading old fairy tales.
Really!?!?!?!?! lolIf by that you mean some modern of futuristic type novel with the charters story vaguely similar to a fairy tale, then i'd say it depends on the author. Not everyone can do justice to certain types of stories.
TPBM has been to the beach recently.
Nope! And I meant actual old fairy tales, like the brothers Grimm and such--though I completely agree with you on retellings. If the writer doesn't have a fairly interesting take on it, the story just flops.
TPBM is a homebody :)
Reading definitely counts as something adventurous! Well, as long as the book isn't boring I suppose. Though risking one's sanity with a boring book could be branded a kind of adventure too :)
Nope, last year of (homeschool) high school :) TPBM likes the show 'Legend of the Seeker' even though it's a bit corny.
Nope, though I'd like to learn some different types of hand-to-hand combat :) TPBM loves the idea of pocket watches but finds them impractical in real life.
Yes, by the time I dig into my pocket and find my pocket watch I won't need the time any more.TPBM has been on a plane before.
Nope. I'm generally healthy, especially in the last 8 years or so.TPBM likes to help people, but doesn't like to ask for help.
It depends on what I'm helping people with, but usually yes. And I'm slowly getting over my reluctance to ask people for help :) TPBM is constantly trying to see the hopeful side of things.
As a user of "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, I'm doing that on a consistent basis.TPBM considers the movie Pink Floyd the Wall to be a personal favorite.
I do not. Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction, maybe.TPBM has found that favourite things change with time and/or the phase of moon.
My taste in food have changed drastically over time, and in my taste in books and movies has probably matured a bit :) haven't noticed any changes alongside the moon phases, though. TPBM always sees pictures in the stars, but has a hard time finding actual constellations.
Nope, jumping right into another job :) TPBM has a reading list of classics that seems impossible to finish.
I'm reading list is impossible to finish regardless of which genre. TPBM tries their best to savor good books.
Yes, but sometimes I catch myself going too fast if it's really interesting.TPBM likes popping bubble wrap but hates hearing anyone else do it.
Yes, but I don't like taking things off the furniture in order to dust it... TPBM loves books and movies with snarky characters in them :)
Been doing that as long as I can remember :) hoping to finish one this year, actually. TPBM has one subject they like to write about above all others.
Not really. I like to set up an interesting premise and then build the plot around that first. TPBM tries to make each of their stories distinct from each other.
Sort of? They usually have the same central conflicts, and I have a lot of personal character archetypes I rely on, but the rest varies pretty widely story to story. TPBM likes first drafts but not editing.
I'd like to be, but I'm too lazy. My brain goes 'meh, good enough.' and shuts off pretty fast :) TPBM often has to stop being productive in order to snuggle with a needy pet.
In my case, that needy pet is my elderly brown and orange kitty Smokey, who spends most of her time sleeping on my beddy-bye. ^_^TPBM enjoys the music of Three Days Grace.
