TPBM
Yes! Although the one book I'm extremely excited to read is still in the mail, so I have an excuse for not catching up :) TPBM has one book they read when they were young that impacted them deeply, but they can't remember the author or the title.
I can't think of one that fits that description.TPBM has a sure-fire hiccup cure that always works for them.
As in, warm? I tend to be, though I get chilled easily when the spring temperatures start doing their hot-cold shuffle :) TPBM has seen otters in the wild.
No, I haven't, and that's probably a good thing since I don't want to see bears and lions be treated poorly. TPBM enjoys the music of Max Cavalera’s past and present bands (Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, and Killer Be Killed).
Not usually. Also I have only heard of two in that list so I guess I am not a good judge of whether I like them.TPBM looks forward to Goodreads' April Fools Day joke every year!
I constantly fantasize about singing in a heavy metal band and sometimes doing covers of Pink Floyd songs, but I'm not doing a whole lot to make that fantasy happen.TPBM wants to use art supplies to make a mask from the movie Pink Floyd the Wall.
Oh yes. Life's not quite complete without music :) TPBM likes to go through old notebooks of stories or sketches and give the ideas in them another try.
Yes. Though honestly I'm a little more embarrassed by the limericks... TPBM actually loves vacuuming.
Good night! :) I actually don't have any recurring dreams. Most of my dreams are just a bunch of random images.
TPBM prefers reading old books to new ones, but prefers the look of new books on their shelves.
:)Lol, I like the look of both. The older books on your shelf give people the 'ah, an intelligent one' kind of impression.
TPBM knows how to swim.
I actually don't, but I love being in the water. Paddling around in lakes with a life preserver on is one of my favorite things to do :) TPBM has recently finished organizing something in their room or house.
I'm unpacking suitcase because I just got home from a trip. Does that count?TPBM loves running into old friends unexpectedly.
I love running into old friends! And rotary phones are awesome :) my family had one all hooked up and working when I was little, even though it was wildly out of date, and dialing numbers was just so much fun :)
TPBM is trying to figure out how to outline their novel.
Always, planning is tough. Haven't done it in a while though I hope to get back to writing more of it sometime in the near future.(Oh and Guy I still know how to use a rotary phone. I'm kind of proud I do because I once helped out a friend who didn't know how to use one).
TPBM wants to try reading a good adventure novel (for example Clive Cussler).
I do! I've been wanting to get into the old, pulp-fiction-type hero stories ever since I saw a stack of 'Doc Savage' books in a used bookstore, but I haven't gotten around to it yet :)TPBM has a hard time replying to emails.
Yeah but I have more of a time checking my email let alone replying to them. (Hi Grace. I was thinking of that "TPBM" because I plan to read a Matthew Reilly book set in Antartica!)TPBM loves books that feature exotic locations.
I love them a lot, especially in fantasy stories. :)TPBM wants to dye his or her hair a different color than it already is.
No, even if I didn't shave my head. I'm happy with grey mixed with the tiny bit of dark I've left.TPBM has an unusual event to attend today that looks/sounds awesome.
Not today, but I do have some concerts and vacations down the road from now. Those are going to be fun, that's for sure. TPBM has read “Swamplandia!” by Karen Russell and thought it was grossly depressing.
Never did read that, though I generally do find books set in swamps to be depressing. TPBM plans to read a book by Douglas Adams this year.
I just made a purchase on Amazon for the graphic novel "Cimarronin" by Neal Stephenson.TPBM kept a personal ledger of books he or she read long before becoming a Good Reads member.
I'm naturally introverted, but I find that with close friends, I love being around people! So I'm not super outgoing, but I do enjoy being social :)TPBM has seen Peter Pan performed as a musical.
Most definitely! Fairy tales are for everybody :) TPBM likes finding odd compilations of folk tales from different regions.
I do. I'm in the very long term read of The Lady of the Hare: A Study in the Healing Power of Dreams by John Layard which has scores of stories myths and tales from around the world about hares. TPBM has a lucky rabbit's foot.
If it counts, then I once told someone my name was Ninja. They didn't believe me. Hehe!TPBM would never want to write and publish a memoir book because he or she cherishes privacy too much.
No, I'm okay with being open, now. Life is a shared experience, and if my experiences and observations help another person, Life has been enriched. TPBM likes to read memoirs rather than biographies.
I do. The most recent memoir I've read is "My Fight / Your Fight" by Ronda Rousey. She is one tough chick, both physically and mentally.TPBM is a former or current player of Magic: the Gathering.
No. I used to play with Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and pokemon card battles but not Magic which was where they all came from.TPBM wants to read a genre they never read before but hope to enjoy it!
I've read books from pretty much every genre there is...and somehow I still need more! :)TPBM enjoys the song “Youth of the Nation” by P.O.D.
Being unemployed, the closest thing to work I do is my creative activities. I just rewrote chapter 11 for my novella Occupy Wrestling and read 30 pages of a slow-paced book called Swamplandia. A break would be in order today. TPBM would read a fantasy story about anthropomorphic warrior unicorns.
That makes me think of reading the fourth book of Fablehaven in the 5th grade. I believe there was an anthromorphic warrior unicorn prince in that one. TPBM likes to reread books from their childhood to see if they're as good as they were in memory.
Yeah -- I thought it would be fun to re-read Nancy Drew, one of my favorites when I was about 13. It wasn't - ugh!TPBM prefers reading (or writing) prose to poetry.
I get more satisfaction out of writing prose, but as a semi-professional author, I've had more success with poetry. Funny how that works out.TPBM enjoys listening to Disturbed’s rendition of “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel.
YES. It's such a beautiful song! I also love the Epic Rock version, though I'm not sure if Epic Rock is the name of a band or just a YouTube title... TPBM enjoys reading ballads.
Indeed I do! I listened to a lot of Michael Bolton in college, so that's where most of my sentimentality comes from.TPBM has a vacation to look forward to this year.
