Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, but not so much lately as I have stopped watching TV and movies.

[And I loved Gilgamesh!]

TPBM likes Greek food.

message 7552: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I've never actually tried Greek food, unless you can count goat cheese :)

And yes Gilgamesh is awesome! I need to read it again :D

TPBM is able to appreciate both funny and darkly speculative stories, but prefers a combination of the two.

message 7553: by QUEEN (new)

QUEEN what is this

message 7554: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments *sudden existential crisis ensues* what is life? What are we?

Ok but in all seriousness, this is a thread where one commenter will make a claim about the next commenter, as: "the person below me is eating spaghetti" or something and then the next person has to answer the claim and make one of their own :) it's pretty fun.

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Yeah I guess so.

TPBM loves epic fantasy!

message 7556: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes! Any kind of fantasy really :)

TPBM enjoys the look of goth/emo/punk rock, but doesn't necessarily want to try it out.

message 7557: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments I wore a leather jacket, jeans, and sunglasses to school during my senior year if that counts as being part of the style. The ladies loved it, but I was too timid to do anything about it. Oh well.

TPBM believes that showing vulnerability takes more strength than being tough all the time.

message 7558: by Guy (last edited Mar 06, 2016 09:13PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes.

TPBM completed two small things today that have been hanging over his/her head and bothering him/her like a small pimple.

message 7559: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Well, I just woke up, but I did learn how to power off my phone, which fixed some of the apps I needed for my business... So that's a huge relief :)

TPBM loves the Robin Hood legend.

message 7560: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Definitely!

TPBM loves fairy tale/folk tale retellings, especially ones that switch the roles of the heroes and villains.

message 7561: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I love a well-done retelling, although I'm still not on board with the whole villain-as-hero thing--not against it really, I just haven't seen it done in a way I liked yet. (Although I do love good-guy dragons, so maybe that's a lie) :)

TPBM has gone for a motorcycle ride recently.

message 7562: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope.

TPBM likes to smell rain?

message 7563: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments When it does rain in Arizona, I love to go outside and take in that smell.

TPBM loves to watch dust storms.

message 7564: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I enjoyed the epic dust thunderstorm in Mad Max, but I've never seen a real one. They sound awesome!

TPBM loves micro photography.

message 7565: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments If by microphotography, you mean taking close up pictures of small things, then that sounds cool.

Whenever TPBM sees a vampire movie that makes a big deal about the smallest drops of blood, they wonder if that bloodlust extends to aggravated teenage acne.

message 7566: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LOL! I have not thought that, and am unable to imagine how I could have possibly thought that.

TPBM found something today that s/he thought s/he'd lost permanently.

message 7567: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments I have not.

TPBM enjoys watching the squirrel scene from the movie “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation”.

message 7568: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've never seen that movie, but if it involves squirrels, it must be cute!

message 7569: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Not really...

TPBM loves the show 'Psych'.

message 7570: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4485 comments Haven't seen more than a few scenes of one episode so I can't judge whether I like it or not.

And Garrison I love that Christmas movie!! "You got a free certificate to Jelly of the Month Club" when he was expecting a big Christmas bonus, haha!!!

-----

TPBM loves the show Monk.

message 7571: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Monk is really fun, but the second-hand embarrassment kills me, so I can't watch it often :)

TPBM loves the show Person of Interest.

message 7572: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments No, but my parents swear by that show. They kept trying to get me to watch it with them, but I wouldn't budge.

TPBM loves the show NCIS and its Los Angeles and New Orleans spin-offs.

message 7573: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Love the Los Angeles version! Neither of the other two has really caught my interest, though.

TPBM does most of their writing late at night.

message 7574: by [deleted user] (new)

Sometimes, it depends on the book I'm reading :)

TPBM likes to drink coffee in the middle of the afternoon.

message 7575: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes, but then I stay up all night, so I usually opt for decaf.

TBBM deeply dislikes wearing stretched-out socks.

message 7576: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments As long as the socks don't have any weird designs or colors, then it wouldn't bother me if they were stretched out.

TPBM can’t stand people who say, “You need to get laid.”

message 7577: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Never actually met any, but if anyone ever told me that I'd probably punch them in the nose. Or at least feel like doing it.

TPBM cannot look at a blank wall without wanting to paint on it.

message 7578: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Well, when I see a blank wall, I want to write. Dad taught me calligraphy and I think I'd like to write instead of paint.

TPBM has watched The Revenant.

message 7579: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I am. But that is every week right now because I've run out of hours in a day to write and do.

TPBM will enter a haiku poem in a national competition celebrating the spring cherry blossoms.

message 7580: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments The only Haiku I have ever written was about my cat, and it was hardly worthy of being entered into a competition...

TPBM has listened to the band Van Canto at some point in their life.

message 7581: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments I can't say that I have. What kind of music do they do?

message 7583: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I've never actually seen The Voice...

TPBM is afraid of mice.

message 7584: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments @Garrison Van Canto is a bit of an odd band. I think they're German, but they sing in English, and do mostly acapella covers of hard rock songs (though they use drums as well as voices) it can be pretty fun to listen to though :)

message 7585: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I don't have anything for the Paper Hearts topic yet, but I'm working on another short story that I'm actually pretty happy with :)

message 7587: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Nope :)

TPBM has just reorganized their bookshelves (online or otherwise)

TPBM is craving strawberries.

message 7592: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Well I wasn't until they were mentioned. Darn now I need strawberries...

TPBM loves stories about King Alfred the great.

message 7593: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I live in Arizona, so we have air conditioner here.

I've never heard of King Alfred the Great, let alone read his stories, so I don't know if I love them or not.

TPBM hates it when songs leave a chord unresolved and end the song right before the last word in the chorus.

message 7594: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments It depends on how it's done, I suppose. If the song is meant to be unsettling or unresolved, it could be poetic, but I can definitely see how it would be annoying too.

TPBM has an inexplicable attraction to dark and gritty-looking things.

message 7595: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments My mother had a sand castle that she used as a knickknack decoration when I was a kid living in California. I don't know what happened to it, because it's really cool.

TPBM loves the poetry of Theodore Roethke.

message 7597: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10164 comments Unfortunately, I haven't read anything of his before. Most of my poetry intake comes from song lyrics from my favorite rock and metal bands, occasionally hip-hop.

TPBM enjoys listening to the Theory of a Deadman song “Blow”.

message 7598: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments YES. I do like 'Angel' better though, but mostly because it relates to a novel I'm writing :)

message 7599: by Garrison (new)
