I just noticed that quite a few people(including me) listed Nalini Singh's
or something from her Psy-Changeling series for the challenge.April must be her time to shine.
Well, she won so many awards recently, so everyone's either trying her out or returning for more after the reminder.
I can understand that.I saw her book Archangel's Kiss at walmart a few month's ago but didn't buy it bc i try not to read books out of order. But this April challenge gave me a great incentive to try her out :).
Although I haven't read her Guild Hunters series, I own the first book, and have read some of her Psy-Changeling series and love it. In fact, I'm reading one of them this month :)
Yeah I'm gonna try out her Psy-Changeling series if I like Angel's Blood. That's what i did with Joey W. Hill.I read a book in her "Daughters of Arianne" series & her "Vampire Queen" series & now I'm in ♥. Sadly my local libraries don't have any of her works so i've gotta wait to order them from Borders. My fiance has me on book-buying restriction right now which sucks. But if i can refrain from buying a book for 2 more month's he's gonna get me a nintendo dsi.Dsi=Cooking Mama= Be Still My Beating Heart.
I have no restrictions, since I buy all of my books with money that I earn from editing my grandma's book :) Getting paid to read books = happy me.
Oh I am green with envy.I can only go to the big chain bookstores once every 4-6 months bc books are expensive as hell. The reason im on book-buying restriction is bc my fiance is fed up with tripping over all my books. He loves to moan "I can't even take a piss without putting a dent in one of your pbs." Which is an exageration if there ever was one.He might ruffle the pages a little, but no dent.
Michelle, you're starting Vampire Academy! Let me know how you like it. I promised I'd start the series but I can't seem to get over my reluctance for reading young adult books.Oh and you're also reading a Kelley Armstrong YA! Hope you like it. If you do (or you don't) read her Women of the Otherworld series. You know: with Karl Marsten. :)
I like this one! ok, 10 different series:1. Silver Born- Mercy Thompson series
2. Dead in the Family- Sookie
3. Changes- Harry Dresden
4. Nightlife-Cal Leandros series
5. Working for the Devil-Dante Valentine
6. Tales of the Otherworld-otherworld series
7. The Society-society series
hmmmmmmm
8. Black Magic Sanction-Rachel Morgan series
9. Glass Houses-morganville vampire
10. The Iron King
Today is the 1st, I just started Silver Born this am! Let the game begin!! :)

Mel, i am not saying this rudely but funly.... Get over it!! Lol. YA books are pretty darn good. I work in a library, and love to see all the new stuff in all areas that are coming in, and I must say, there are SO many good YA authors and books out there. And they're quick! It's sometimes a really nice change of pace from lengthier and heavier adult books. Give 'em a try, depending on who you pick, you definitely won't regret it.
Jess :-)
Of all the YA I've read, which is a considerable amount since my brother is obsessed with it, VA is most definitely the best. Could have something to do with the fact that Richelle Mead is my favorite author, but so what.
Thanks Jessica and Ahrcadia. I know I know, I MUST give VA a try. I will order the first book now as we speak! I'll let you know how it turns out. Although I've reserved April for BDB re-reads, a few books on my current shelf and...*drums* Lover Mine.
VA starts out great and just gets better as you go, but they don't all have happy endings. Next book is out in May, I think.
Wow! I'm new to the group, so on my first try out, I'm going to jump on this challenge. See how I can hold up with the pro. LOL. I'll post my list shortly.

Lauren wrote: "Sign me up! I have a question though, do the books we read as part of the challenge have to be PNR/UF? Since it is a pnr group challenge, 7 must come from this genre.
I hope that helps!

The box set of 1-3 was on sale, so I went for it. I have reservations just because I'm mad at Mead at the moment, but we'll see how it goes!
As for The Summoning, it's a chosen read for some one of the groups this month, plus I read some of the excerpt on the Harlequin site and it seemed very interesting right from the get-go. Did a pretty good job of sucking me in!
Tara wrote: "LeeAnna (Tyer) wrote: "Ok so this is my very first reading challenge... Ever... Well, officialy it comes out the end of April right? The 27th? So enough time to read it as a last or second last book for this challenge. If I get the book early I know I won't be able to stop myself, all the other books will just have to wait.
