Up next for me will be
by Linda Robertson. This is the second one and the first one surprised me by how good it was.
I read the short story in the book that Sarah picked and it was weird. About 34 pages long and hardly worth reading. But that is just my opinion. Sarah, can you stop and let us know what you thought?
Totally agree with Darcy. It felt pointless--little more than a girl-power morality tale. Which is ok, unless it's written by a famous author and reads like a grade-schooler wrote it in class.
What kills me about that story is that I am sure she was paid BIG $$$ for it, and her name is plastered in huge font all over the book. But I guess if you have reached that point in your career where you can do that, more power to you.
I was thinking more like her name is plastered in the largest print on the cover, but she only wrote 36 pages of it. I hate it when anthologies treat one author like they are a bigger draw than the others.Frankly, I'm most looking forward to the Marjorie M. Liu story. I really like her style and storytelling.
Sharon Shinn's story was wonderful, as is all of her writing. And I did like LKH's story also, sweet and a nice change. Crafted as well as any of her other stories
Just started "Flirt" today.. Very short book though that's kinda disappointing, at least 'Bullet" comes out in October..

I agree Darcy! I love the series, but the covers are a bit cheesy. I really hope she writes another book in the series soon! I really liked this series but the ending of the third books is probably my least favorite ending ever.

Looking forward to it as I always enjoy a visit with Glory & Blade...........and Ray!Well I am about half way through and there is lots of crazy going on, just what you expect from Glory and more and more between Blade and Ray, but what surprises me is we have Valdez to add to the mix now too. I think you will really like it.
I liked Flirt, it was short but then I knew it would be since its LKH's surprise story. Bullet is the one that is planned and will be the normal size.
Anna wrote: I really liked this series but the ending of the third books is probably my least favorite ending ever.I hated the ending too, but only because it was such a cliff hanger and now I am dying to know what happened next and the next book is out somewhere on the horizon.

I know that's why I didn't like it. I keep checking her website and there's never anything about a fourth book. Right now S.J. Day is working on a proposal for a new paranormal series.
I just finished Ecstasy Unveiled and it was wonderful just like the rest. Now I am reading Scorched I am having a hard time getting into it.

I found that Scorched move pretty slowly throughout the book. It had a much different pace and action sequence compared with Ravenous.

Reading
by Jim Butcher. I absolutely love this series! When I got the book from the library, the first 24 pages were missing!!! Luckily, I found a website to read the first few chapters.

I'm going to be really upset if she doesnt come out with a 4th book!!!!The ending killed me too!

I just finished Secondhand Spirits: A Witchcraft Mystery by Juliet Blackwell and really enjoyed it. A cute and funny paranormal mystery. I'm now reading
Finished with
...You can always count on Dresden to keep you entertained. I think I will start

next
I just finished
. I then started
[image error]
. Im having a hard time getting into it so I put it down and started
I just finished On the Edge (The Edge, #1)by Ilona Andrews last night, so right now I am reading The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance untill tomorrow when First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) is released. Though I may take a run down to walmart and see if they have it.
I finished
it was good.Hopefully we dont have to wait almost 3 years again for the next book ;).Now starting
I just finished
by Anton Strout. Really enjoyed it. Kinda reminded me of Harry Dresden. Really smart, witty writing. Great Urban Fantasy book. I'm now reading
Patty wrote: "I'm now reading [bookcover:Real Vampires Hate Their Thig..."I just finished this one over the weekend. I loved it and thought Glory made some good decisions with the guys, but looks like there might be a bunch more to make coming up.
Last one finished was
. It felt like forever waiting for this one to be released, and I wasn't disappointed...LOVED IT, as I've loved every Karen Chance title I've read.Right now, I'm about 1/3 through
. I'm getting frustrated so far, because I seem to remember loving the first book
. But this one is boring so far, too much geek-speak regarding the very detailed mechanics of faking paranormal phenomena. Where is the action I love in my UF? I hope it picks up soon. And I'm also about an hour away from finishing the audiobook [image error] . LOVE this one! I listen to audiobooks during my work commute, and during Chapter 18 I had to pull over because I was sobbing so hard I couldn't safely drive. I can't wait to get the sequel
; hopefully I can find the audiobook at the library, because I really enjoy this narrator's energy and emotion.
Mary that is good to know about the Hunger games books on audio. I read the first one, but am waiting for the second on audio as the wait list was much shorter.
Reading Born to be Bad by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It's a group of 3 stories. I'm not really liking the first story too much. Hopefully it gets better.
@Carolyn--I tried Born to Be Bad and had to give up on it. I didn't like it at all.@Jess--Did you like Wake? That has become one of my favorite new YA trilogies. I can't wait for Gone to come out so I know how things turn out.
I feel sorry for myself Sarah, I listed it in one of challenges so I've got to finish it. Thank goodness the font is huge, I should get through it quick.
