What are you reading right now? Part Deux!
Sarah - I really enjoyed Wake, I loved that it was different from other things I've read. The story was not only unique, but the writing style is also unique!Melodie - I just flew through Devil May Ride, I have the next one here, and since there's a HUGE snowstorm coming. I'm definitely going to be reading it soon! I love this series. I think it's so interesting and a great combo of mystery and pnr :)

I just finished Twilight Fall by Lynn Viehl. Great story, really enjoyed it. Now I think I'm going to force myself to read Shades of Gray by Amanda Ashley. She is my 2nd Chance author in one of my challenges. I thought Night's Touch was terrible, so I'm kinda scared to read another by her.
Carolyn F. wrote: "Started Ravenous by Sharon Ashwood. About 5 chapters in and I'm liking it so far. "I really enjoyed that story

Jess I finished Red and I liked it and think you would too. I could tell right away where the story was going, but didn't mind it. I really liked the world that it was set in, the sexual tension was great, and the characters good. The only down side was that the book opens with a pretty brutal rape scene, but it is a major part of the story line. I will definitely be reading the next ones right away.

I think it was in the library last time I was there, but knowing my luck I will go this weekend and it will be suddenly missing haha. Thanks for the review ;)
I finished Broken and went against my promise to read the others first... but I just couldn't do it! :/Anyway, I loved it to pieces!! :D
Christina wrote: "Has anyone read Spider's Bite? I was thinking about trying it out based on reviews on BN.com"I haven't read it, but it is on my list as it looks really interesting.
I finished Shades of Gray by Amanda Ashley, wasn't too impressed by it. It was my second attempt at her books and I don't think I will read anymore. I'm now reading
and so far so good.

I read Deadtown the other day. Lots and lots of almost going on. Some good ideas, but all packed together without enough follow-through on any of them. Can't make up my mind between Summer Knight and Indigo Springs for the next one...

I am a little over 50 pages in to Deadtown and I had to put it down. I like the premise, but not enough to keep reading for today. I think that I will pick it up again to see if it gets any better.
I am listening to Summer Knight right now and am on disc 4 and this one is pretty good. I haven't heard of the other one though.
Darcy, that's the problem! The premise is great. It's lacking that shot of adrenaline to drive it home.

That's disappointing to hear about Deadtown because I also just picked it up from the library to read. :(
I have decided to give up Deadtown. I read 50 pages this morning, then quit to read something else. Finished that book, so thought I would go back to Deadtown for an hour before I went to bed. Read another 20 pages and realized I don't care, so it just isn't for me.
I'm just starting Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews. I see that it's the BOM, though I haven't found the topic yet.
I read Magic Strikes first and now want to go back and start at the beginning!
Jaime, tut tut tut. Bad reader!:p
I just finished Summer Knight and since Dresden books are like Pringles I'll have to rearrange my challenge list so I can read the next one! That darn Jim Butcher...

Jaime the thread for the book of the month is under the folder called Current BOM's. It's underneath the Urban Fantasy Writers folder. Below is a direct link to the Magic Bites Spoilers thread. Hope that helps!

I am currently reading Charlaine Harris' An Ice Cold Grave
It is very different from the Sookie Stackhouse seriers in terms of content -- no hot sex scenes and romance is not the driving factor. It is a Who Done It series. The story lines are not very complex, but I am really enjoying them. I have read the first 2.5 in about 2 days. I really like the two main characters -- Tolliver and Harper.
I finished reading
and
.I'm about to start
The Library got it in early ;) and I'm listening to
on Audio.

Darcy--Yes, definitely read the others. I'm over halfway through Ballad, and I love it. Her writing is so lyrical it flows. Such a treat.
I finished both

. I really enjoyed Shadow Blade. A great Urban Fantasy book. Not much romance but great storyline, action, and some Egyptology history thrown in. The Rest Falls Away was pretty good. It was the first book in the series so there was quite a bit of character building, etc. I still enjoyed it and will read the next in the series. I'm now reading

LOL, Michelle M, and now you see on the Karen Chance board that I'm doing it again. ::SLAP::Thanks, Jess! I wasn't looking under the specific headings. I finished the book, so can now go comment!
I'm now starting

I read DEVIL MAY RIDE in December and liked it. I like this whole series, so far.
