Ok, is it just me, or is reading a book on the fae really hard?? Really? I have tried before to read LKH's series on the fae and I never got into it. I had to make myself finish this one. There was nothing but sex in this book. I would be reading it at work, and I know my cheeks were bright red. This is the first series I will not read every book in. I just can not make myself read it.
Amelia, I saw where you just finished Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, I so LOVED that book!! I am really looking forward to seeing how this author does. I want to know more about Patch. I also really liked the cover of this book.

1. Vampires:

9. Psychics/ghosts/humans with paranormal abilities:
10. Hunters/warriors/slayers/guardians: Kick @$$, Anthology.

My Dad and I bond over British comedy too!
Amelia, my platonic mindmate, I commend you on your choice. Eric, his teeny red undies, and his award-winning ass will delight.
Mel, you are shameless. But I approve. You're trying for Outlander again, hmn? I will be checking the updates!
Laura, I was perfectly happy to drop that potato, hot or not. I guess I'm the fickle wench after all, not you!
Lynn, I think you'd do better with books that do not feature the traditional nasty fae. Try Shanna Swendson's series, starting with Enchanted Inc., perhaps? Karen Chance's books also have lots of Fae floating around, from the cruel to the fun, but always tricksy.

2. WEREWOLVES
3. SHIFTER
4. GOD/GODESS/IMMORTAL
5. DEMONS/ANGELS
6. WITCHES/WARLOCK/SORCEROR/MAGE-

I'm late joining in this month but seeing as I have read 2 books that fit... I'm here! Can't promise I'll finish but I will try.
Alyssa Day was a new author for me and I gave both books 4*. I will continue with this series, I enjoyed it.

Ugh, not so, I found out last night! I found an even cheaper one at the grocery store that came in a jug with a handle - for $20. I figured, why not? Yeah, I could actually feel fumes going out my nose. I think once you get to a certain price point you're better off drinking rubbing alcohol - at least for the taste.

Lynn, you've read a couple of Richelle Mead's books so I would suggest her Dark Swan series which starts with Storm Born. These fae were easy to read about. I read it for my fae book and instantly downloaded the next one so I wouldn't have to wait for the paperback to arrive!

1. Vampire-Kiss of Midnight By Lara Adrian
2. Werewolves-Cry Wolf By Patricia Briggs
3. Shifters-Stray By Rachel Vincent
4. gods/goddes..."
Lynn,
You might want to try Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire. It's a Fae book without a lot of sex. Also, the Fae doesn't have to be the main character for the challenge. Many of Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson series contain characters who are fae.

I got reminded why P.C. Cast is one of my favorite authors!

It helps me keep track of what I really though of a book. Even just a small note to remind me why I did or didn't like it. This is actually the reason I joined Goodreads. =)
But it does take time and effort and means I tend to delay updating my currently-reading list. So I understand why people dont, its just really nice when they do so we all can share a little bit of each others experience.
Its a great way to get recommendations (I've been doing that too!) so maybe a little positive feedback helps. =D

Koula, it's so true. :)
Amelia, it becomes a fave in hindsight. Think REPERCUSSIONS. And hello, gracious plenty?

Come on, you know you'd try it too! It's like wine in a box, you have to try it at least once. Plus real Baileys has gone up in price a lot, if I got the same amount as the jug it'd cost me twice as much. Now I have more money for books, and that's really all that matters.

::adds Dead as a Doornail to soon to be bought booklist)
The gracious plenty had me rolling... along with the tint red panties. I wrote a review. It explains. lol

::heads out to read Amelia's review::

1. vampires
(undead, different species, spawned by aliens, even sparkly ones all accepted)
(most popular of all weres, our lupine faves deserved their own separate category)
Call of the Highland Moon – Kendra Leigh Castle
(transforms to any kind of animal except for wolves...see category 2)
Playing With Fire – Gena Showalter
(doesn’t matter what mythology inspired them: Greek, Roman, Norse, etc)
Darkest Night - Gena Showalter
(demons: whether good or bad; angels: fallen or not, winged or not: any other denizen of either heavenly or hellish persuasion)
Bloodring – Faith Hunter
(all of the aformentioned plus any practitioners of magic)
On the Edge – Ilona Andrews
7. fae/fairies
(elves, seelie/unseelie, etc)
Grave Sight – Charlaine Harris
(men or women who live to fight and/or protect)
Demon Night - Meljean Brook

That's totally what I did, and I just put the name of the book as the name of the link.

I think what was getting me was that I didn't know how to get to just my review, but I see that when you're editing a review, there's a little link on the right that says "view review."
I'm off to link my reviews in my challenge post!
