A.E. Shaw (aeshaw) | 3 comments Hi all! I'm A. E. Shaw, I've just self-published my first novel 'The Pulse', a dystopian YA without romance, but with a small cast of deeply strange characters who've a lot to learn about who they are, and what they want.

The Pulse by A.E. Shaw

On Amazon UK: amzn.to/147AvM7

On Amazon US: amzn.to/ZC3A3F

And on all the other Amazons, a search of " Shaw The Pulse" ought to do it :)

Summary: Aiden's spent his entire life confined to a windowless castle, convinced he’s the centre and purpose of the entire universe. When the castle burns down, casting Aiden and his companions, Selina and Alej, into an unknown world, Aiden can’t wait to discover what wonders await. He's in for one disappointment after another. How will he survive his father's appalling legacy?

Writing this has been a long and lonely process; I'm so hoping that the promotion aspect of it is going to be slightly more social :) So happy to discover this group!

Magda (magdaknight) | 2 comments Seal Girl
Seal Girl (Mythology High, #4) by Magda Knight

Hello! 'Seal Girl' is part of the kick-ass Mythology High series by Buzz Books USA, mixing quirky world myths with high school drama.

Ondine is the new girl at school. With her Irish red hair, champion swimming skills and hands deformed at birth, she sticks out like a sore thumb - or perhaps more like a selkie, a seal mermaid of the Atlantic sea. Ondine wants to be a free spirit for the rest of her life, and hey, who doesn't? But then someone close to her starts to play dirty, and she's all out of choices...

Nice to meet you all, and I hope you enjoy the book. To celebrate finding this group I'm going to check out 3 other books from this welcome section, because if you're hungry for reading, there's nothing like a good explore...

Kaitlyn Oruska (kaitlynoruska) | 10 comments 'The Consequences of Forever':

""I closed my eyes and breathed him in, wishing I could absorb his words and make them true. I wanted to believe we would be okay, and when I didn't think too much about it, I could. But then when I was alone, and the realization started to sink in, I felt overwhelmed. This was really happening." - Excerpt from 'The Consequences of Forever'

Adam Montgomery entered Lainey Winslow’s life one cool summer night, and neither one of them ever looked back. Adam promised her forever, and that was one promise both intended on keeping.

Fast forward to a few months later, and Lainey’s world is turned upside down when she finds out she’s pregnant. Suddenly forced to make the biggest decision she’s ever been faced with, Lainey realizes that forever might be a lot more complicated than she’d ever imagined.

‘The Consequences of Forever’ is a tale about how your life can change in an instant, and the consequences that come with every decision and promise you make. Join Lainey as she learns more than she ever wanted to know about life, love, and the meaning of family."

This is my very first novel, and the first of a trilogy. It is only available through Amazon.com, if anyone is interested, just type my name (Kaitlyn Oruska) into the amazon search bar and it should pop right up! I will be doing a free promotion tomorrow (June 11), and will gladly extend it if anyone who is interested doesn't get there in time!

Writing is a lifelong dream for me, so anyone willing to take the time to read it and let me know what you think is greatly appreciated :)The Consequences of Forever

Csencsitz (christinecsencsitz) | 3 comments Hey everyone! So glad to find this page. All of these novels sound so amazing!

I'd love it if you all could check out my novel, August, 1899. It's a young adult historical fiction, available in hard cover and kindle e-book. The story takes place in turn of the 20th century Boston and focuses on four young socialites--the Campbell cousins, Evangelina and Peter, and their closest friends, Elaine Hasborow and Colin Gray. Evangelina, who is orphaned and later left a large sum of money from her well-to-do aunt, is forced to develop a sense of self within the elitist social circle of her aunt and uncle's. It is, in many ways, a coming-of-age novel that illustrates the relationships amongst the friends as well as their privileged and sometimes overbearing families.

Thank you for your time!

My YA debut, a supernatural thriller, releases next month.

Banish by Nicola Marsh

Alyssa has one week to destroy her enemy, save her spirit... and save her soul.

After her ex-boyfriend commits suicide and her mum’s alcoholism sparks yet another psychotic episode, seventeen-year-old Alyssa Wood flees her small hometown of Broadwater and heads to New York City to stay with her bohemian aunt — a Wicca High Priestess.

Alyssa revels in the anonymity of a big city and her new life. Her grades climb, she has a new best friend, and a new guy: the sexy geek Ronan — a saxophone player who prefers jazz to pop.

But her newfound peace is soon shattered when she sees a dead body in one of Ronan’s music clips — and she’s the only one who can see it. Worse still, Alyssa recognises the body that has been murdered a week forward!

Alyssa doesn’t believe in the supernatural...despite her family’s Wicca background. So how will she overcome evil when it’s closer than she thinks?

Satinder The Monsters of St Osyth

Hi everyone!

The Monsters of St Osyth is an urban fantasy set in the English countryside.

When 16 year old Freya is ordered to spend the summer with her aunt and uncle in the middle of nowhere, it looks set to be the most boring summer ever...until she meets the mysterious Hudvek family and falls in love with their son, Raven.

However things in St Osyth are not quite what they seem. Freya is soon facing witchcraft, shamanism and the power of ancient burial sites. All the while trying to deny not only her own psychic abilities but her bad intuition about the Hudveks...

Look forward to reading your reviews,
Thank you!

Elisa Freilich | 2 comments Hello! My names is Elisa Freilich, and I am the author of SILENT ECHO: A Siren's Tale (Diversion Books; September 10, 2013). http://www.elisafreilich.com/silent-e...

Haunted by silence, a mute teenage girl is mysteriously given back her voice ... and it is divine.

Rendered mute at birth, Portia Griffin has been silent for 16 years. Music is her constant companion, along with Felix, her deaf best friend who couldn’t care less whether or not she can speak. If only he were as nonchalant about her newfound interest in the musically gifted Max Hunter.

But Portia’s silence is about to be broken with the abrupt discovery of her voice, unparalleled in its purity and the power it affords to control those around her. Able to persuade, seduce and destroy using only her voice, Portia embarks on a search for answers about who she really is, and what she is destined to become.

Inspired by Homer’s Odyssey, SILENT ECHO: A Siren's Tale is an epic story filled with fantasy, romance and original music.

Everything Marie (everythingmarie) | 35 comments Book Review of Sentinel by Joshua Winning:

To me, the most important part of a book, is the first chapter. It’s the first part of the story that the reader is witnessing. Without a gripping and compelling first chapter; the reader gets bored and unfortunately the book gets tossed to the shelves.
This book grabbed me from the first few pages. It starts off with a little history to the story-line; dating back to the 1800′s, with; of course, a little magic involved. After a few pages, the story picks up in present day, located in Cambridge England. I will admit, the first chapter had me in tears. Starting the book off with a tragic death was unexpected; and I loved it...to read more click link below.

S.D. Hines (sd_hines) | 3 comments FREE Kindle Download: ARIADNE: A Tale of the Minotaur (until August 19th)

http://www.amazon.com/Ariadne-Minotau...

Three thousand years before The Hunger Games, a conquered nation was forced to send their finest youths to fight and die, facing an invulnerable creature they had no chance of defeating.

ARIADNE: A Tale of the Minotaur--one of Hines' Heroines of Classical Greece series--is a contemporary retelling of the classic tale of Theseus and the Minotaur, a story with more twists and turns than even the Labyrinth holds.

Prophesied in lost Atlantis, the Grand Conjunction is rapidly approaching, the day when a unique astrological alignment makes all things possible. But more is at stake than the fate of young Theseus, prince of Athens, and his fellow Athenian tributes. This single day will decide the destiny of nations, a vanished people's resurrection--and give birth to a god.

It is also the story of Daedalus and Icarus, of an immortal yearning for love, and the greatest and basest that humanity offers. A power will soon be released that will destroy the world unless it is tamed by the newborn god who is born of a man and monster. But who is the man, and who is the monster?

The secret lies not only in the Labyrinth, but IS the Labyrinth.

I hope you enjoy it. MEDUSA is also available for downloading

V.K. Green (vkgreen) | 4 comments My book The Tale of the Wulks is out on amazon now.

The Tale of the Wulks is a coming of age saga set in the modern day United States. The main protagonist is an adolescent autistic individual belonging to a magical race of creatures called Wulks. When evil threatens to dominate earth and subjugate its citizens, a mixed band of humans and these magical creatures must set forth to confront it. Among them is the unique and autistic Rilk Wulk who discovers the depth of his courage and power as he steps forward to lead his small group of warriors as life and death hang in the balance.

A little self praise; I am a gifted student who happens to be autistic and I have tried to use fantasy-adventure to illustrate the truth behind autism and how much autistic individuals add to the positive whole of society.

Boy-crazy Alissa Sullivan has got it made -- a supportive, loving family, a cause she believes in, and her new boyfriend. With her best friend Kat at her side, she was counting the days until the end of high school when they could go away to college together. Then she met Scott, a man who wouldn't touch her but would turn her life upside-down.
Katherine Horne is perfectly content being in the background. All she wants is to graduate and get out of the town she's grown to loathe. She'd do anything to avoid confrontation but when she finds herself in increasingly humiliating situations, she realizes some things can't be ignored. With their carefully planned futures suddenly unraveling, Kat and Alissa will come to realize one thing: fate has one plan for them... karma has another.

Barbara McLaughlin | 12 comments Hello Young Adult Readers!

Welcome to my fantasy world, HEAVEN’S WAIT!

I am writing a fantasy/young adult series of a different sort. In contrast to the dark fantasy that prevails in today’s marketplace, my series takes place in a colorful world that lies somewhere between Earth and the gates of Heaven. It follows the journeys of a human soul, RJ, an unexpected visitor to this in-between world, and the quirky, cartoon-like inhabitants of Heaven’s Wait, the Vowellans. Together, they work toward discovering and fulfilling the Vowellans’ purpose in Heaven’s Wait.

Though, at a glance, the series appears to be written for a young audience, it does not speak exclusively to young people. Significant life messages and family situations that have realistic psychological depth are woven throughout the series, despite its overall lighthearted and often comical tone.

The first offering of the series, RJ’s Story, Heaven’s Wait! Tales from Vowella, is available in eBook format at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view.... The second installment, Innocents, Heaven’s Wait! Tales from Vowella, is currently with my editor. Once completed, both books will be published to Amazon in eBook and paperback formats. For now, reviews of RJ’s Story are welcome here on Goodreads. Please visit my Author Page. https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

At 3:41 PM GMT four planes crashed on different parts of the world.

I was on all four planes.

At the same time.

I caused the crash.

And I don't know how to make it stop.

I can't even remember who I am.

There's barely anyone I can trust.
