Oh good! I was dreading a directly south spin - though I was prepared - I had identified a mystery set in India just south of Bangladore ... otherwise I would have been looking at Antartica! I see that once again, being prepared for the worse worked!

South East gives me a lot of choice!

That will work. it is not directly N but not NE.

I think I was hoping for East. Super excited actually. I have to double check my map, but do you know what is exactly east of France? It’s Turkey! And do you know what takes place in Turkey? There are Rivers in the Sky by Elise Shefak. Yup!

I'm headed SW - need to see what my crime fiction options are. Very exciting!

ETA: I'm headed to Argentina! One of the Edgar Best Novel nominees that I really want to read is set there, My Favorite Scar = a neo-noir so likely quite dark which is a nice contrast to the lighter mysteries I've been reading. So excited! Plus I think it includes a road trip within Argentina....which means a journey and more miles. I'll see.

And this is the first time I'm not going in some easterly direction.
