Be sure to get your review up and posted in the Compass Reviews.
There has been much talk about eggs recently and as April seems to be the perfect time to bring them to the forefront we will offer a chance to earn a free ticket. If on your travels in April, you read a book which has an animal which lays an egg on the cover, in the title or author's name you will earn a free ticket.
Be sure to note in your compass review.

Review is posted.
I'm not having any success with my spins. I am going to use another free ticket. (only one left?) I will be traveling NW to Morocco and reading:
A House in Fez: Building a Life in the Ancient Heart of Morocco - Suzanna Clarke
Snuck in one more under the wire for Thriller tag - my 9th The Compass review! Ready for my next spin!

LOL - I don't think any of the crime fiction I have lined up so far for April is directly west ... and here I am back on the lattitude parallels just farther south than before.NP. I have plenty of crime fiction around here and in the TBR Towers to have a selection that fit.

Well, NZ is east so that's no good (I can't tell you how many times I've read E and W and vice versa or looked it up on the map incorrectly. It's almost embarrassing). However, I can do 3 or more countries in southern Africa and Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile in South America. I happen to have longtime clients who retired to Uruguay and spend half the year there. I've asked them for a recommendation - crime fiction of course. I already did a fabulous one in Argentina and want to switch it up, explore more.
Yippee I can finally get to Bolivia to read The Puma Years. Bonus - there is a bird, butterfly, dragonfly and spider on the cover. It’s set in the Amazon rain forest so it also fits the jungle prompt in play harder

I'm heading south again - from Montevideo Uruguay. I may be back in Argentina or I think there's crime fiction set in the Falklands. Otherwise I'll have to see what crime fiction the penguins of Antarctica have published - a noir cold-case perhaps? Since nothing I have on deck will immediately fit, I'll be sitting back on this challenge for a couple weeks.

Yes, I used a free direction to get there. See post #270

Just checking, is Jennifer me? If not, may I have a spin today?

Yes, Jen M, it must be you. On the first page of this thread is a summary of our spins, and SE is your latest spin. JenK’s last spin was N last week, and there is no other Jen or Jennifer.
Jen M - California - N - Cape Disappointment, Washington - E - Lisbon Falls, Maine; then to Dallas, Texas - W- Tombstone, AZ - NW - Joseph, OR - SE

Thanks!
@BooknBlues - I'm going to use one of my detour tickets - first time - to go to Stockholm, Sweden from Montevideo, Uruguay. I am considering that a North direction, not a NorthEast direction - would you agree? I'm fine if it's either N or NE, just want us to agree. I have a crime fiction book stacked up to read this month that is set in Sweden and would give me an animal book for the mini-challenge, while fitting some other challenges. It's nice and efficient and helps with my limited reading schedule.

I thought your Southerly direction might be a bit problematic.

I sourced a couple South of Montevideo, especially a crime book in the Falklands, but there is a several week wait for the library ebook for that one. I have for sure no crime fiction that fits in my TBR.

So straight west from the Falkland Islands is well, ocean.
I am thinking New Zealand which is just a tiny bit northwest of The Falklands but it's more west than NW, so do you think that would work?

I think that New Zealand would work, it is just slightly North of a true west.
I'm ready for a spin on the 16th. I couldn't find anything on my tbr that was north or my location so I used a free ticket to move southeast to New Orleans, Louisiana.
