I read The Lost House by Melissa Larsen It is set in Iceland about an unsolved 40 year old murder. My 4 star review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Mania

I'm still glad that this year I chose Michael Connelly as an author to read each month. The Narrows is deadly in the desert and absolutely terrifying in a flood.
My review of The Narrows
An Oxford student tries to find The Girl Who Wasn't There in Arvind Ethan David's dramatised story. He'd really liked her when she was - or was she?

I haven't seen a post from the group in ages, and now I know why...so please indulge me as I make a:GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT.
If you have noticed that you are not receiving notifications of posts on your group threads, that is a new design by Goodreads. It applies to all of your groups, and all of your reviews. To get these notifications again, or to be sure you still get them, check the "notify me when people comment" box under *every* review you want to follow and on all the group threads you want to follow. Otherwise you won't be sure of being notified of comments.

Thank you! Good to know there’s a way to handle this bad decision on GR’s part.
Lucifer's Tears

I read Beartooth by Callan Wink It is a wilderness crime book, set near Yellowstone National Park. My 3.5 star rounded down review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... If you are an animal lover, you would not like the graphic description of the bears being butchered.
Wilderness crime fans might like this book. Animal lovers would not.
Now starting ALL THE SINNERS BLEED by S.A. Cosby, his latest stand alone mystery/thriller novel published in 2023.The book won the Anthony, Macavity, and ITW Awards as the Best Mystery Novel of the Year and is a finalist for the Edgar, Steel Dagger, and Barry Awards in the same category with the winners still to be announced.
I read Cosby's two earlier novels last year and really liked them, although readers should know upfront that the subject matter is not for the squeamish.
A charming read
The Little Provence Book Shop by Gillian Harvey ⭐⭐⭐.6 https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The Blue Last
by Martha GrimesRichard Jury #17. One of Jury's old police coworkers and friends is ill and asks Jury's help in solving a murder. Ms. Grimes is a very fine author and this book has a very complex plot and great characters. Very well done English mystery which I very much enjoyed until the ending which I hated. So 4 stars instead of 5.
Still working my way through J.D. Robb's In Death series featuring Detective Eve Dallas one book at a time. I may catch up one day in the distant future!
Celebrity in Death #34 (of 60 books) is a good one with the death of a cast member in the movie production of one of Eve's famous cases. Less dramatic and intense than some in the series but with an engrossing mystery and plenty of interaction between the main characters.review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
