I’m starting in January but have listed the titles I hope to get through and will put a “☑️” next to them once I’ve finished.

I’ll be interested to see how you get on with it! 😁 do you know when you will start? I’ve not given up on it, it’s on hold (or something lol) if I ever see a copy (cheap!) I’ll buy it as I borrowed it from my friend and shoved it back at her saying “this book is mad as a box of frogs, I don’t get it!” 🤣🤣
C.E.C. wrote: "little question, hope it's not bothersome to ask here but: do they have to be only horror books or can they also be generally speculative fiction books?"Not bothersome at all, and a legitimate question, imo. I personally did read every kind of book for this challenge last year, I have to say my TBR mostly consists of horror and sf, but I even read one non-fiction from Stephen King too (Danse Macabre). So I guess anything goes?
Hi all I have a question-How do I create a post where I can make a blank list and then come back to it to post my books? Thanks in advance! Yolanda

If you only use the app on your phone I don't think you can do it. Unless I am wrong and it has been changed, they do not allow you to edit your posts in the app. However, if you do it through the Goodreads website on your pc/mac/whatever then you can go back and edit the list later to fill it in.

You can create the post here with spaces for your list TBR and then go back to it by clicking 'edit' and filling in the list as you read. (Ah yes, good point noted, the edit option is on desktop version only. I don’t use the app as it’s annoying lol!) I've got a list with links to the books i plan to read and when ive read them i'm going to add a tick to mark it as read here as well as on my dedicated mount tbr shelf. Good luck with your 2024 reading! :D
C.E.C. wrote: "little question, hope it's not bothersome to ask here but: do they have to be only horror books or can they also be generally speculative fiction books?"
This is your personal TBR challenge: you can count any books you already own towards it, no matter what the genre.

C.E.C. wrote: "little question, hope it's not bothersome to ask here but: do they have to be only horror books or can they also be generally speculative fiction books?"That is up to you. I try to make the majority of the books I list be horror or horror adjacent, but that does not mean the occasional cozy mystery does not make its way on my list!

LOL - I like that description of the book as it made me laugh out loud. I'm planning to start it the first week of February. I'll give a ping when I do in case you want to wade in again!!
I am GOING to finish reading all the Bram Stoker Horror award winners for best novel this year. I have been plugging away at this personal goal the the last several years and have completed all but 11 of them. I read 127 books last year, I find it insane that I did not read these 11 books.

I'm going for 100 this year. This is my list thus far and the majority have been audiobooks but I will be moving on to physical copies and kindle reads throughout the year. So far my absolute favorite has been, Audition by Ryu Murakami. Anything with an * asterisk is recommended and received at least 4 stars from me. I'm updating this for a new target of 200 TBR reads for this year since The Dead America series is comprised of short installment and I've had them forever so I need to get them done.1.

Oh thank you Alan. I didn't realize that. I will try and go back and edit my post accordingly.
going on a tentative no-buy until i read at least half of my current physical tbr.
that also means i can support my library more by borrowing books!
last year i read 24 from my bookshelf, exceeding my goal of 16 (dunno why i chose the number 16, but there you go). this year, i plan to read at least 17.

I am unable to figure out what to do. I spent time moving all my UNREAD books to a single shelf I named Unread Books. I pulled a couple over and read them but the had to indicate Read 2024. Then I noticed that it is popping up all of these unread books asking me if I read them this year. They have not been read at all. I am not sure what to do.
Taking a cautious approach of only 7, I've filled in 2 so far.1) The Beetle
2) The Adventures of Alyx
I will say 121. The Universe Has Your Back: Transform Fear to Faith by Gabrielle Bernstein √
2. Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl √

This year is a good year as I was able to reach my goal of reading 12 books off my physical shelf! It was mazing because I could give away the ones I'm not interestes in keeping and discovered a hidden gem or two, like Agents of Dreamland, why haven't I read that one before? So I decided to tentatively try to double down and hopefully reach the dream of 24 mount tbr books. I think I can do it!
