Diana, move to 87 "
Wow, Diana! You just flew!"
Oh my! Still giddy from all the flying!
Happy 33rd, Anita & Richard. MY Richard and I will celebrate 33 years later this year. Amy - Your plate is FULL ... but I can "hear" the smile on your face in your writing.
I have posted my review, so I will be advancing to the Engineer Level. My special roll was to go to the spot of the next person, and nobody was ahead of me on the Porter board. The next person is Kate NZ on the Engineer board, spot # 3. I might not have time to prepare my new board until tomorrow. Then I will read whatever ends up on space 3.
Woot! Robin gets back to the Caboose in her spiffy new engineer uniform while the Salsa Party and Tango lessons continue. The Cabanna boys willvbe replenishing the buffets and bar in the AM.

Lol, I didn't know we were both at 33 years! How fun! Love how we are both married to Richards.
NancyJ wrote: "Congratulations Anita! That’s worth celebrating. We’ll hit our 42nd at the end of this month."Wow! That's impressive. Closing in on the big 5-0. I feel like at 50 we are going to need to do something really special.
I am going to use my special advantage: Cora, your special advantage is that you may skip any book you land on that has at least 5 people who tagged it DNF (or any version of that i.e. did-not-finish, abandoned, etc.). Your subsequent roll will move you forward from that spot of the skipped book. You may use when you wish.
My current selection, Darker Than You Think, has been tagged dnf by 5 people. I would like to skip it and get a roll to move forward.
I am ready for my next roll, please! (3)My last read was 611 pages:

I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS! and WELL DONE! to all the long marrieds we have here! What a terrific beacon you are for not just newlyweds, but also those in the earlier and middle years of their own marriages.I am sure that reading helped you through the years - if only to have a weapon in hand to heft when arguing.
Fantasy CGI Tom has requested 2 weeks off the Subdue Express to promote his new book - the ingrate - and in exchange has arranged for some of his New York Theater and Hollywood Movie A-List friends to arrive after Ricardo and his tango lessons depart on Tuesday: Steve Martin, Rick Moranis, Bill Irwin and Joan Cusack. They will introduce and teach the merengue, give autographs, sign books, keep things running. I have already alerted all cabanna boys, fire fightersbutlers, cafe workers, maids, foormen and wardrobe attendants to be prepared for it go spread through the whole train. They are so excited - don't expect much work from them.
All buffets and bars are being replenished at same time. Potluck contributions encouraged.

How'd you know I did that yesterday? We will hit 34 years in September-I too congratulation all the others here who have stayed and weathered the bad and the good in their commitment.
As someone coming up on 49 years married (starting to think about plans for the big 5-0), some useful books are You Just Don't Understand: Women and Men in Conversation and The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts. As far as our personal reading, my husband and I don't often overlap, but when we do, it's quite fun.I always say the secret to our being married this long is that he is very patient!

Shake It Up Sunday:
Jen K, you are the victim this week. After you finish your current book, you just need to move back 1.
That roll takes me off the board. I'll work on my Station Master Loop 2 board tonight and get back tomorrow for a new roll. I love the ambience of the caboose!
OM! The Caboosians are so looking forward to your return! Congrats on reaching your second and final Station Master board!
Anita wrote:"Anita, it looks like we posted around the same time, and you missed my post, #282. Thanks.
I've finished my number 18 and am heading back to the Caboose for number 15. I'm bringing in some Palomas to drink and some Chicken Enchiladas Verdes. I was able to bring some preschoolers to perform for us as they always did for Mother's Day when I was still working. They are so darling!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrEg2...
I'm ready for another 🎲 dice roll (1) Thanks.Anita - My Station Master II Board is ready for its closeup.

I went ahead and moved you to the Engineer board in slot #3, but because you don't have your game board set up yet, I just want to alert you that whatever you read for that slot can't be eligible for any extra dice rolls because essentially you are able to select any book to go there. Just a heads up.

The ..."Thanks, I did realize that, it's already a plus that I know the first book I will read. I finally got my list posted just now. I decided to take a different approach and use 25 books (four times) that I am pretty sure I actually want to read in the near future rather than 100 random items.
As a bonus, I figured out how to use "continue numbering" in Word so that I could just paste the same list in 4 times!
Robin P wrote: "Anita wrote: "Robin P wrote: "I have posted my review, so I will be advancing to the Engineer Level. While at least half are ones carried over from Clerk, I stacked the first half with the books from my TBR to read to finish other 2023 challenges like Pop Sugar, or personal goals for this year. I also kept almost all to 300 to 400 pages because I know I have several fat reads and one doorstopper in next few months plus a demanding job. Subdue needs to provide the lighter easier reading.
Roll request please! One dice please! I've just completed and uploaded my review of Endurance, book 99 on my Clerk game board. As its impossible to roll a 1 with two dice, I'm proceeding to my Porter Master game board, yay! :) :) :)
