May Subdue the Shelf Roll Requests
Hi Anita, not sure if you saw my request in msg 198. I didn't expect a response right away, but I saw that you answered BnB so maybe you are still online.

I didn't notice either, but then realized. Thanks for clearing it up.

Anita wrote: "Cindy, it's rule #7. Here you go!..."Thanks, Anita! I'm sorry, I should have looked it up. (I've just been feeling super-busy the past 2-3 weeks and wanted to get offline and do some reading before bed.)

That's fine, I'll go ahead as normal and check back, thanks!

I didn't see that. Your advantage is you can move to the same space as the person who is directly in front of you. This advantage may be used at anytime.

Do I still read the book I landed on before using that? (if I decide to use it now instead of saving it)?
AND I see there is nobody ahead of me on my current board (Porter). Would I just go to the end and set up a new board and start from 1? Or would I set up a new board and post it, then go to the same place as the first person there, which is Space 3?
The special rolls made all the difference for me in this round, skipping me over dozens of books!

Yes, you would need to finish and review the book you are currently on, and then you can move. If the person in front of you is on the next board, you'd move to where they are on the new board.

I’m ready for a new set of rolls. I finished two books, one was Joy’s special move. World Without End was more than 1000 pages, so I need 7 rolls total. ( I think)https://www.amazon.com/World-Without-...
I assume I need to go back to #28 and count from there.

I can't recall the specifics, but if Joy moved you somewhere else, you continue on from where she moved you.

And what a way to accomplish that!
The party is still going strong in Caboose - no end in sight. In fact , there's a special treat arriving in a couple of days that likely will keep it going a bit longer -- y'all might to plan your reading and moves accordingly.
Ack! Still in the Village Bed and Breakfast..... Refueling myself. Taking photographs and chatting with the local shop owners. There is a lovely cheeseboard shop. Anything I can pickup?
Olivermagnus wrote: "My last two rolls were a 4 and a 6."Your advantage is you may triple any roll you receive, immediately after you receive it. You decide when to use it.
I am ready for another roll, please! (3 dice)My last book was 675 pages:

Rolls for 5/11:Nancy 4
Hannah 3
Olivermagnus 1
anarresa 6-4
Joy 5-2-4
anarresa, you have a special advantage roll. Add all the digits in your birthdate to calculate a move that you may take at any time i.e. my birthday is 10/13/1966 so for me my move would be 27 (1+0+1+3+1+9+6+6)
I'm ready for another 🎲 dice roll (3). Thanks.Like many out of print books I'm having trouble finding a hardcover available at Amazon. I could only find the Library binding, which I assume is a hardcover. I also attached a link to the original hardcover on Goodreads.

🕺💃🕺💃ARRIVING TONIGHT!💃🕺💃🕺THIS WEEKEND ONLY IN THE CABOOSE!
Tango master Ricardo will be giving tango lessons all weekend, giving the Cabanna Boys a rest from leading the line dances and partnering salsa numbers! Though I expect they will be jealous and soon join the fun.
Let's see some leg wrapping and dipping mastery achieved!

Dang, and I'm still holed up in the baggage car. Maybe I'll sneak in since I will be returning shortly.
So sorry everyone! I just spaced out I guess. It was my wedding anniversary (33) yesterday, and I got caught up in celebrating lol.Rolls for 5/12:
Ellen 3
Joy 2
Olivermagnus 1-2-5
Nancy 1
I actually have an element of FOMO for Ricardo in the Caboose! There must be something incredibly wrong with me - or I have the most active imagination possible. But just to soothe me, would you mind inviting Ricardo back in a week or two? Or three? While I have started Atomic Anna in the lovely village cafe, there is indeed a fireplace with huge armchairs, and the sweet aroma of coffees and teas, incredible carbs that miraculously have no calories (have a very large to go order prepared for the train), the locale is lovely. There is a puzzle going on nearby, and there is lovely hiking just stepping outside the cafe doors. This is where I am picking up the low sugar crumpets and croissants for Cindy, and I do want to offer, that miraculously, any one who is gluten free or low sugar, that all these items miraculously taste of gluten and sweetness, but do not affect our bodies in any deleterious fashion. They are in fact even mystically health promoting and slimming. Note, to add a few pies to the order.
Meanwhile in the real village of Newton, Massachusetts, the theme is only slightly similar. Within the hour, I am taking my youngest to the bar mitzvah service of a camp kid, maybe an hour or two of the party, before he has to get to soccer..... But... I plan to find the local Starbucks near Holliston and spend close to two hours working on the Montage for his bar mitzvah, and if I need a break, finally reviewing Symphony of Secrets. I cannot tell you how monstrous a project these bar mitzvah montages are. Its the reason I am stuck in the village, along with a thousand other huge to do's for this double affair of the bar mitzvah and graduation party. Four/five weeks to go! Meanwhile, I have not had a crumpet or croissant or any other kind of bread product in over four months - trying to get back into my dress. I am as mystically drawn to Ricardo and the line dances and salsa, as I am to my cafe with the delectable carbs!
Meanwhile, my senior left yesterday with a group of nine kids, to go away for the weekend to celebrate their graduation and four of the nine kids 18th birthdays. All of their 18th birthdays really. Knowing he would miss Mothers Day and there is really only three or so weekends left before the dual affair that marks his "move out", I suggested that he remember what we usually do - the Mother's Day Redo on Memorial Day, where our family usually takes a day trip. And I was sort of hoping we would have our oldest, Jaden too, for that. But.... then he says, "Mom, I have been telling you. We are all away that weekend too! That's why senior skip day is the Friday before." No, not a word had been mentioned. Not a one. And its hard to get time with him because I have been so busy with the Bar Mitzvah - which let me tell all but a few of you, is a huge labor of love, but a seriously huge extensive labor. My heart sunk a little. Miss you already, you adorable apparition! But then a miracle happened and it has to do with the Celtics! Let me explain.
Friday we are driving down to New York to help Jaden move out of the dorm. Taking most of his stuff. He comes home about a week later with the rest of it. But then we got this phone call a few days ago... If the Celtics win Thursday night, (they did!) Can he come home Saturday or Sunday and take his brothers to the game on Sunday? He has an online exam Monday but he is ready for it. Are you kidding? A hug from my kid on Mothers Day weekend, where he gets to do something special like this with his brothers? Damn Straight! So guess what? I am leaving the Village and the Train - (sorry Ricardo) to go to see the Celtics on Sunday with my three boys. Canceling my day on Monday to work on the Montage. Somewhere in there, my other Mothers Day plan is to finish Harry Potter Seven with the little guy. That will be my thirteenth Birthday Candle Completed, but another thing I really need to happen before this kid becomes a man and then goes to camp. I do have the image of my three kids watching and re-watching movies 5-8. So there are some good things happening off the train. My reading may be a little slowed until after June 19th..... But luckily, I do think this train passes through this village on occasion, and perhaps could make a special stop for me. Especially since I have the goods "baked goods" and Dancing Shoes still warm.
A Happy Mother's Day to All. Happy Reading. Happy Spring. Go Celtics! Good Luck with Ricardo. Savor the moment, every single one of them.

CONGRATULATIONS! 33 years deserves to be celebrated! I did think I spotted the two of you among the crowd in the Caboose tryiing their hand at the tango....

Oh, BnB- this could totally take you leaps and bounds down your board, after moving back 3 spaces! 🎉🎉🎉
Though that did also put you in the heart of the Caboose Salsa Party and recipe exchange.
