I read The Returned by Jason Mott (a man). This book was first published in 2013 and is the debut novel by Jason Mott. This book is 352 pages.
Book Two - must be written by a woman that is NEITHER the debut published work by the author NOR the first book in a series.
I read We Are All Welcome Here by Elizabeth Berg (a woman). This book was first published in 2006 and is not a debut novel or the first book in a series. This book is 187 pages.
Together these books exceed 500 pages with one being 100 pages longer than the other. These books were also published more than 2 years apart.
