Two Book Task. Read two books from two different options
Book 1: Option 1
Rad a book with a word in the title that is at least four letters made up of letters typed solely by the left hand on a QWRTY keyboard.
I chose the word WATER. I read INTO THE WATER by Paula Hawkins
Into the Water
This book has been on my TBR Mountain for a long time so I created the word so I could read it. The writing was good but the story was so weird I wish I had created another word. Oh well, it is now in my giveaway box and has a future of tormenting someone else.
Book 2: Option 4
In honor of all South Paws, Read a book written by an author born or currently living in the American South
YAY! I am a huge fan of Sothern authors and novels set in the South. My ancestors on both sides of the family settled in the American South in the early 19th century. The voices in these books are the voices of my childhood. I can't help but love them even if they are not always kind. Sad but true. I was fortunate to have loving and caring parents who did not share the hateful opinions. We do exist.
I read Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman. Ms Hoffman is Kentucky woman.
The very beginning of the book was set in a small town in Ohio but when CeeCee's mama tragically died her daddy sent her to live with an aunt in Savannah Georgia Oh! Savannah! Such a beautiful city and one of my favorites in the South! I love CeeCee and her relationship with Aunt Tottie's housekeeper was wonderful! YAY! I discovered a new to me Southern writer!
