Does that just count as 'T' in your opinion, or do you forget about the 'The' (lol)?
For example, if I want to read The Forgotten Island does it count as my F book, or could I only use that for T?

It's common practice in alphabetizing books to ignore the short words that start a title, words like 'the, an, a' to name a few.

Agreed! I actually worked as Journals Editor for a university library, and "the" is never used as the initial letter in the catalog.
Disregard: a, an, the, etc. Use the first "significant" word.
