I've edited my post above of the Round 21 fixture as the AFL has tweaked it a bit. The main difference is that the first game of the round has changed. But as no one has submitted their tips yet, it shouldn't affect anyone.

We must sadly say farewell to the feisty Les who passed away on Monday. Just a couple of weeks short of her 81st birthday. I know we will all sorely miss her. I will continue to do her tips for her until the end of the season and will make an added donation to Dementia Australia in her memory. She will leave a big gap in our Goodreads community. Go gently Les! xx
Oh no :-( I met her just the once, at a meet up for a music group we were both in. Such a lovely lady.

I never had the opportunity to meet her (bit of a stretch from South Wales to Scotland when one can't drive!) but she was such a lovely person, i always enjoyed her music choices over on Themes...she did throw up some real surprises! Such a loss. RIP Les :(And while we're on subject of absent friends..does anybody know where Suzy has got to of late? I know she does take time out occasionally due to her medical issues...but she's gone quite a while now.

What a cracking game! Down at the Cattery, where Geelong are very hard to beat, the Giants came in with 8 players from last week's line-up out through injury. In fact, they're missing 18 of their best 22 through injury. And these kids played as though their lives depended on it. Fantastic to watch. Geelong came hard in the final quarter but the young Giants were not going to give up. Unfortunately, Toby Green may be looking at yet another suspension - this time a raised elbow right into the throat of Patrick Dangerfield (the latter was sent to hospital for immediate x-rays). But nonetheless a thrilling game and Anita had her crystal ball working as she predicted the exact margin. $7.00 goes to The Mirabel Foundation. Well done Anita!

Right I'm back. It's all go here what with Lockdown 6.0 (Melbourne only) being extended for at least another week. There goes my booking for The Who's Tommy (put on by Opera Victoria) and already postponed for 12 months because of the 2020 pandemic. Excitement this week when the landline rang at 2.30am on Tuesday (I never have the mobile phone in the bedroom) and it was my daughter saying her waters had broken and the hospital had advised them to come in. So I staggered around in the dark trying to think what I'd need and tootled off in the car through eerily deserted streets. I was required to look after their first born, now nearly 3. I'm not sure why she was up and about at this ungodly hour but she was in no mood to turn in so we sat up until 5.00am. Anyway, baby (boy, our third grandson) arrived safely mid-morning. He was 3 weeks early and only weighed 2.8kg but he is a very bonny babe and the hospital were quite happy to discharge them 24 hours later. Funnily enough, Tuesday was census day and we were all encouraged to complete the form online in advance if we thought we'd be home on Tuesday night. The authorities were smart enough to have people going around the hospital to add in any new arrivals (my daughter and s-i-l had also submitted theirs early but were able to add the newborn) - and presumably any departures too(??). I can't see any way of altering the info I had submitted about where I would be residing on Tuesday night. Does it really matter when you're 72?Anyway, here's the AFL's best guess about this week's fixture:
