Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10002 comments I haven't yet read anything by Elizabeth Strout but as I have the third Amgash book, Oh William! from NetGalley, I thought I'd better read the first two. My Name is Lucy Barton is a powerful and ultimately uplifting read.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10002 comments I picked up When Pigs Fly: 3 Novellas in One by David Swan when it was offered free on Amazon and, having spent precious reading time on them, I know I would have resented paying for this. These three (merely passable) stories are so riddled with typos, grammatical errors and inconsistencies, it distracts enough to be really annoying. I’m saving you money and time. You’re welcome!

PattyMacDotComma | 3312 comments "Revolutions never start at the top." Aussie social psychologist Hugh Mackay has studied and written about the Australian community for decades. The Kindness Revolution: How we can restore hope, rebuild trust and inspire optimism is a terrific resource for anyone wanting to make a difference, not only in Australia.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10002 comments Danish-born Aussie author Mette Jakobsen's third novel, The Wingmaker is a quick read (I read it in one sitting) but she packs a lot in: humour and heartache, a beautifully-written feel-good read.

Andrea | 2176 comments Occasionally I'll review a cookbook, but not before trying at least a few of the recipes! I was intrigued with the concept behind The "I Love My Instant Pot®" Cooking for One Recipe Book, and although the recipes worked, I probably wouldn't add it to my collection.
