TART Challenge2 - We'd Rather be Reading (12)

I totally missed the comment about the link. I apologize for that. Thanks!

62. Read a minimum of 1000 pages in books written by an author whose first or last name begins with the first letter of a teammate's screen name.
Select a book written by an author whose first or last name begins with the first letter of a teammate's screen name. You can not use your own screen name for this task, you need to use a teammate's name. So Nayara couldn't read Nora Roberts for example. The M's are lucky though, they can choose from all three options. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count. 😊

it's only 336 pages so I might look for something else unless Shan and Michaele's books get us to 1000 pages.

eta: changing to this because the other one isn't in audio and I take longer with ebooks.

so now we have 944 pages.

Review: Marissa and Trace's story ended up with the curse that sometimes accompanies 1st books in a series. There was a lot of time preparing the readers for the books to come, and not enough time spent making the reader have any appreciation for Marissa and Trace together.
I didn't feel the connection, but I was told (several times I might add) that there was connection that they both were denying and have been for years.
I left this book unfulfilled for the most part, because there was a lot of repetition and I couldn't figure out 1) why Marrissa wouldn't confide in her family who are in a security business so it is clearly there job to protect people, and 2) how is this business thriving with the lack of communication between the people who work at this company (who also happen to be family).

Review: I really like the angle of these 3 friends becoming lovers. It made the possibility of a ménage relationship seem more real.
When Ry, Bram, and Lacey came together it was supper hot, and the author did a good job showcasing Lacey being reluctant due to her being hurt in the past.
It was a short, hot read.
Definitely interested in reading Jana's story, because I absolutely think that it is going to be a crazy ride.

I just realized after going back and reading Michaele's post about her books.
too many groups, I start to get confused

I was just thinking that I may have overdone a little bit the amount of challenges I was participating this month 😂😂

If someone else finishes something go ahead and post and submit. I just figured I'd get one going as a back in case no else found one.

Task 20: 104. Read 8 holiday books.

Fits: Christmas in title
Pages: 220

I like that these can be read in any order. They have overlapping characters but usually just one or two peripheral characters from the Monk series. No continuing story to try and remember if I haven't read on in a while. Just a short, entertaining mystery set a Christmas time.

Completion Post:
Task 20: (104). Read 8 holiday books.

Michaele: Posts 436, 435 & 429

Nice!

Also, Mary make sure you are using the first edition Kindle page count. Two of your books didn't. No worries this time, but for the last task it could matter. 😉

57. Read over 1000 pages in books that are MPG Romance.
Books for this task MUST be MPG Romance. If you've participated in the Bachelor Challenge, you know what that means. 😉 Basically, Romance has to be listed as a Main Page Genre. Romance can be combined (Historical Romance for example) or alone. Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count!
