Michaele | 6545 comments It looks like she answered this question recently, and unless I misunderstood, we just need to get the page count.

I'll listen to another KA book, lol, those help with page counts.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 1103 comments Turns out they didn’t really need the lodge secretary at the meeting tonight. So I was able to listen to my book while spending a couple of hours cleaning out the office. The building is 120 years old and no one has purged anything or cleaned anything out of the office in about 20 years.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 1103 comments Well it is supposedly one of the most haunted buildings in CT. Ghost Hunters did an episode here. I think Ghost Adventures did as well. I haven't experienced anything but a sinus headache and congestion from the literal century of paperwork, LOL. Actually the only stuff left from that long ago is some old log books, photos and stuff like that. But a couple of friends have mine have experienced things.

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold Amabili resti by Alice Sebold

Fits: Published in more than one language
Read: 10/7/2020
Pages: 352 pages
Rating: 4 stars

I don't know why I waited so long to read this. Well I do because I have a 22 year old daughter and so don't typically like to read about young girls getting murdered. Also I did not care for Alice Sebold's book the Almost Moon. But I liked the twist of the book being from the perspective of the victim looking down from heaven over those she left behind. I wish her family had gotten more of a resolution and that's all I'm going to say without spoiling the book. She might be a hit or miss author for me.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 1103 comments So that puts at 772 pages. So we just needs Shan's book to be at least 228 pages.

Review: The conclusion to The Lunar Chronicles and boy what a way to go.

No stone was left unturned in the lives of Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter. This was one heck of a ride. I spent so much time wanting to bite my nails from the suspense of what was going to happen next at almost every turn.

I also realize that by the end I was so hungry for info. I want to know were this group of people I've come to love ended up in 10 yrs (or 20). I want to know if Iko finds someone to love her (strong sense that it would be Guard Kinney)

Anyway, if you have been reading this series you will not be disappointed with the conclusion. There is love (friends and romantic), action, and intrigue.

MountainKat | 31598 comments Since I'm not waiting for corrections - yet, here is Task 10:

12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.

You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it.

Review: Peering into Ruben's life proves the saying, " You don't know what's going on behind closed doors." You would think that just because he is from the royal family, and rich that he has this amazing life. The thing is that is just what they want you to see, and the ugly things are hidden deep in the closet.

After Ruben is caught with Cherry and decides to lie about their relationship to try to avoid another scandal, things start to come to light. Ruben suffered greatly in his life and there was no one there to show him the love he deserved.

I like Cherry for the most part. She is strong and confident, and I felt like she could kickass if needed. This is the exact type of woman Ruben needed, because anyone else would have been buried alive while dealing with his family.

The story was sexy, and at times deep since there were some serious issues dealt with here, but it is not my favorite by Talia Hibbert.

Task: read a book recommended by a team member

Hard Hitter (Brooklyn Bruisers, #2) by Sarina Bowen
Fits: recommended by Michaele
Pages: 336

I really enjoyed this one although i feel like the subject of athletes doping was kind of brushed over. But It is a romance so not really the kind of book to get deep into that. They beat my beloved Bruins. I take exception to that.

MountainKat | 31598 comments Just a few comments that will hopefully make things easier for you!

For the page count, if there are multiple books released on the earliest date you can use any English language edition. I'm not as concerned with links as I am with the correct page being listed in your completion post.

As for posting the teams completion, you can always just post that the team is done and I can figure it out. I will never say no to links, but even message numbers is helpful, though just the team name or number will get me here. 😊

message 246: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31598 comments And now here is Task 11:

52. Read 6 books with the same color cover, teams decide color.

As a team select a color and read 6 book with covers that color. You can use any edition's cover to qualify for the task, but remember to use the first edition Kindle page count. The covers need to be primarily and obviously the color you select. If in doubt, please ask.

message 247: by Shan ~A~ (new)

Shan ~A~ | 1830 comments I can do any color, since I haven't chosen my next audio book yet.

The ones I was thinking are starting are:
Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros A Virgin River Christmas (Virgin River, #4) by Robyn Carr The Wreckage of Us by Brittainy C. Cherry Flesh (Flesh #1) by Kylie Scott

message 248: by Nayara (new)

Nayara (nayalink) | 630 comments So... black? 😂😂😂
But I'm also good If someone has to read a book with a specific color.

message 249: by Shan ~A~ (new)

Shan ~A~ | 1830 comments I'll also be reading the following:

From the Ashes (Fire and Rain, #1) by Daisy Harris A Bad Day for Sunshine (Sunshine Vicram, #1) by Darynda Jones

message 250: by Nayara (new)

Nayara (nayalink) | 630 comments I've got two books with blue color covers too
