Nice. I really enjoyed Planet Hulk in OHC when I read it years ago. The omnibus seems to be selling pretty well as it is currently the top seller on IST.
I have Batman Year One and Old Man Logan by Millar. Both interesting takes on the character. :)

I other news, I got a “new” Brubaker Captain American Omni 1 off Amazon and it arrived definitely not new and with some scratches on the dust jacket. It was 95 bucks so considering keeping it but another “amazon marketplace description screw toy” story.

The nice thing about Amazon though is they will refund you even if the third party won't. My first attempt at a brubaker cap Omni 1 was also an Amazon third party seller "like new". The book arrived with the dust jacket completely torn. Amazon took the book and issued a full refund. I still complained about the description and Amazon then gave me a $10 credit. I've been a prime member since they first offered the service more than a decade ago and have always thought their customer service is top notch.

I made that IST decision about 8 months ago and have great books at half the price and more reading ahead of me that will take years.

Vol 1 or 2? I've had vol 1 for months.

And my Local comic book shop sells the omnibus for triple the price I can get online...
Ive been happy with my purchases on Amazon.

It gets terrible reviews because it's not written by Jordan, so i'm avoiding it. I thought vol 1 was fantastic.
I mailed off some books for custom binding today. I'm doing one as a Christmas gift for a friend. It will contain:
Starlight by Millar
Superior by Millar
Hedge Knight by G. R. R. Martin vol 1 thru 3
God Country by Donny Cates.
I'm titling it "Swords and Sci-Fi Anthology" with our last names at the bottom of the spine. :) It will be in dark green imitation leather with silver print.
I also sent two volumes of Captain America for binding. One will be the Standoff and Same Wilson taking over Cap and the second volume will be the Civil War II Cap bind. I'll be splitting up two Cap volumes for the lead up and Secret Empire story line that will complete Spenser's run on Cap. I'll be including some of the X-Men tie-ins along with Dr. Strange.

You shouldn't really bind more than 25 issues at a time.

On the issue count query, usually the binder you use has a limit on the thickness they recommend/allow. Herring and Robinson has a max of 2 1/2 inches thick. I usually remove the staples, cut off the back cover, and other pages that are just adds. This slims down the size of the issues. I'm at just over 30 issues for the binds I'm doing right now though my high is over 40. I measure what will be the text block before I send it off to make sure I'm within the limits. I try to not to exceed the 2 inch mark by much if I can just because that would make the book pretty thick.
There is a lot of stuff scheduled to come out tomorrow on IST (usually a week earlier than Amazon).
Deadpool World's Greatest OHC vol 2
World War Hulk Omnibus
Muppet Babies Omnibus (two covers)
Marvel Agents of Shield Season 4 Slipcased HC
Shang-Chi Master of Kung Fu Omnibus vol 4 (two covers)
Thor by Walter Simonson omnibus reprint
Thor Heroes Return Omnibus vol 1
The Swamp Thing The Bronze Age Omnibus
Wonder Woman Rebirth DLX vol 1
Donald Duck HC vol 10
Donald Duck HC Boxed Set
Best of Archie Comics DLX vol 2
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers DLX HC Year One
Marvel needs to spread their books out a little bit better IMHO.

And yeah, Marvel has been bunching these releases lately. Seems like some of these could have been moved to November or even closer to the holidays, makes more sense for them to be bunched then. Anyway, I am essentially not getting the Hulk books for scheduling reasons.
Anyone able to comment on Thor Heroes Return ? I am not familiar with it at all and have heard mixed things so its not high on my list.
Tomorrow, I am finally catching up on me Hellboy LE's and getting 5, 6, and Hellboy in Hell, plus Low and Simonson's Thor [an unusually big hall because I sold off a lot of single issues on eBay recently].
IST does show both the LOW, Luthor Strode Complete Collection, and Hellboy in Hell Library Edition coming out tomorrow.
However, Amazon has the Low HC coming 24 Oct. If that is accurate that means release has been bumped (17 Oct for IST?). Amazon is usually better at updating release dates versus IST in their coming soon section.
Amazon has Luther Strode Complete Collection HC coming on 17 Oct which may mean it is coming next week instead of tomorrow. We'll just have to see what actually drops tomorrow on IST. :)
I'm in for LOW if it is available. Also interested in World War Hulk and the final Shang-Chi volume. I feel like I need the other Hellboy Library Editions before I get the In Hell volume. I just have the first two currently.

Heroes return Thor is at my library and I was hoping to read that before the omnibus came out but that didn't happen. I'm in for Simonson Thor, Shang chi and Low but would love it if one of the Marvel ones were delayed a little.

I felt like picking up some fun reads for October to get into the Halloween spirit: Locke & Key Vol.1 and Deathnote Black Edition 1 (my first ever manga).
Also grabbed: Batman Mad Love/Other Stories TPB, Batman Venom TPB, Batman/Ninja Turtles HC, and Tomb Raider Archives 2.
By the looks of Amazon UK's schedule, I should have Simonson's Thor, Absolute Authority 1, Hellboy in Hell LE and World War Hulk Omni early November! It will be nice when I'm back in the States eventually to get a release on release day!
@Ooh_jim, that's a nice find! And we all thank you for spurning a reprint.
@Paul, I assume you are in the UK for work? How long will you be there?

That's right Blindzider, moved here for work just over 2 years ago. Exchanged New York City for London! If you ever need anything UK exclusive I'd be glad to help out!
I just want to know who thought the Muppet Babies Omnibus needed two different covers. And why? :)

That's right Blindzider, mov..." Thanks for the offer. I've been to London a couple times and really enjoyed it. I hope to actually go to some comic shops there someday.

I'm curious if when reading Punisher BTW, if he actually comes off as a villain until the 80's when he became an anti-hero (which I guess is just a matter of perspective.)

I'd be interested to see what you think about Harley and Ivy; I've been considering it for a while since I love the Batman Animated Series art style (a favourite from my childhood)

I went ahead and bought the LOW variant, Simonson Thor, and Shang Chi V4, Wilson variant.
Had a brief scare: loaded my cart, got distracted, went back and server was very slow. Worried my stuff was sold out or something but eventually everything worked.
