I think its confusing because the "volumes" of the OHC actually just cover Volumes 1 and 2 of the issues. Later volumes, not collected include one by Whedon and one by Terry Moore... I think?
So yes, Runaways OHC Volumes 1-3 collect "Runaways vol. 1" issues 1-18, "Runaways vol. 2" issues 1-12 plus a crossover event, and finally "Runaways vol. 2 issues 13-24."

Nice. I'm interesting in reading Sean Murphy's Batman story (Batman: White Knight) that is just starting (7 issue mini-series). Even more interesting though may Kurt Busiek writing a Batman mini-series titled Batman: Creature of the Night. Description of the first issue: "Young Bruce Wainwright lost his parents in a violent crime...and in the real world, no superheroes exist to save the day. But as grief and rage builds inside Bruce until he feels he can't keep it inside anymore, something strange starts taking wing in the Gotham night! Perhaps Bruce's grief isn't inside him after all? Modern masters Kurt Busiek and John Paul Leon unite for the spiritual companion to the beloved SUPERMAN: SECRET IDENTITY, putting a new spin you've never seen before on the legend of Batman--and the dark emotions that drive him!"
The Murphy series is probably long enough for an Absolute. The Busiek book may be a little short though those issues are 48 pages each. I like to think both of these will end up in a hardcover of some sort. :)

I'm very hopeful for the Sean Murphy Batman, but I don't know how good of a writer he is, so I'm keeping my expectations to "a book that will have fantastic art" and that's it.
Still need to read Busiek's Secret Identity...
Planetary is in my all-time favorites list.

I bet you Murphy is at least good. He's worked with phenomenal writers. Couldn't be a worse writer than Azzarello.

Do yourself a favor and read Secret Identity, it is a heart touching story where they made Superman relatable and I did not think that was possible. If you liked Superman: American Alien, you should love Secret Identity.
Mad Tom wrote: "I bet you Murphy is at least good. He's worked with phenomenal writers. Couldn't be a worse writer than Azzarello."Which book of Azzarello you found so un-palatable? Just curious.

I hear you, just trying to read it for free, but you aren't the first person that has praised that book so it's on my list for sure.

I know you asked MT, but I agree with him. I didn't like any of his previous Batman stuff, Luthor was palatable, never read 100 bullets. There's something about his writing that doesn't fit with my brain.

Looks like there will be a DCBS Exclusive cover for the Library Edition of The End League, so I guess I'll just wait for that...

@Saugata Haven't read Johns' Secret Identity but it's been on my list for years. I'll move it up. Only Azzarello I've liked yet is Joker and his co-written Batman Master Race. Hated his Wonder Woman, 100 Bullets, and I don't think I would like his Batman run. His "noir" dialog feels too cheesy for me, like he's trying really hard to be cool and edgy. His "gangster speak" in 100 Bullets had me cringing. But different strokes. I'm a Morrison fan. Feel free to make fun of me for that 😉
For those thinking about picking up a Library Edition of The End League, here are the two binding options: https://www.goodreads.com/photo/group...
I like the blue of the variant spine but the picture on the regular cover better.

I like the blue better. I've heard the story is derivative though. The blurb says something like "Watchmen meets X."
I forgot that we had already posted that pic. I'm in for the blue variant.
I only read the first half, but yeah, don't expect to be blown away. It's just a very dark take on a JLA/Avengers type story, Kind of a "The Last JLA" story.

Anyone knows what's the problem with the ennis punisher omni!? It's already (since 19/09/2017) out of stock on both amazon and online stores...!?!?!?

Everyone bought it. :) I still show it being in stock on Amazon in the US. IST does sometimes sell out of their initial allocation for a book but get follow up shipments in a week or so later with more copies. That could well be happening here.

I preordered that and the Planet Hulk omni from Amazon UK, and neither have an expected dispatch date...
Same with me Jim. Amazon U.K. have been dispatching almost a week after release date (at least it's been that way with all the Omnibuses I bought this year).
For all of you who actually don't care, here's what i bought recently:- Acts of Vengeance Omnibus
- Acts of Vengeance Crossovers Omnibus
- Atlantis Attacks: Omnibus
- Avengers: The Crossing: Omnibus
- Deadpool Classic: Omnibus, Vol. 1
- Deadpool & Cable: Omnibus
- Batman: Knightfall Omnibus Vol. 1
- Southern Bastards: Book One
- Scalped: The Deluxe Edition Book One
Nice, let me know how Atlantis Attacks is whenever you get a chance to look at it but sounds like you have a lot of reading to do.And we always care! Ha
I think you will really like scalped.
Acts of vengeance is a solid idea but it's been so long I don't remember how good the stories were.

Many of these books will only be read some years ahead... i just don't resist to good deals or books that "smell" that are going OOP. :)
According to "reviews", the stories of Acts of Vengeance, Atlantis attacks and The Crossing are a bit shitty, but i don't resist buying anything that is X-men, Avengers or Spider related. :(

I've just picked those three up from Thought Bubble, where I was lucky enough to meet BKV, Gillen, McKelvie, Spurior, Ewing, Lotay, Ellerby, Quitely, Latour, Belaire, Shalvey, Cloonan, Phillips & Ward. I'm walking away with all of these signed, and a rather achey back.

Anyone else been to TBubz before?

What a great haul! I can see you are going all in in the Brubaker department :) (i also did that... have most of his works in HC icon/image)
The Runaways is the only item from your haul that i don't really know much about it... any good?
It suffers a noticeable drop in quality once Vaughn leaves, but his run on the title is pretty great. Its aimed towards the YA audience, but it holds up fairly well when you look back on it as an adult. One of its big strengths is how far removed it is from the rest of the MU, making it a great intro book for anyone wanting to start reading Marvel. If anyone ever gets the chance to go to Thought Bubble in the future, I can't recommend it highly enough. This was my 3rd year going, and I'm already looking forward to TB18.
So I recently got the two Criminal HC's from IST the other day. They are indeed the icon editions with a slapped on barcode. I remember a few of you were wary on their quality, but these are beautiful books. Well built, the pages and art feel and look great. Very reminiscent of an Image Hardcover. Also got The Invisibles omnibus, which is hilariously huge. It dwarfs every other book on the shelf.

I usually go but couldn’t this year, due to moving house. VERY curious about Shitty Watchmen. That’s such a great convention, it’s all comics!
Shitty Watchmen is a weird thing. They've taken the original book, and reproduced it using really, really rough art, and reduced each balloon and caption to one or two words. You can read it all online here.
I can't tell whether the creators were trying to make the point that the original book is so well crafted, you can still kind of follow what's going on; or whether they just thought it'd be a fun, dumb way to make a quick buck. Either way, it does the job!
Kinda makes me think of Bartkira, although they weren't doing a shitty version but the madness of the project is similar.
Just ordered
Might Thor Omnibus V3 (Kirby Variant)
Incognito
End League Library Edition (DCBS variant)
Unfortunately, looks like there was a server error and I didn't get my 2% discount. We'll see if they credit me...

I was planning to get Criminal but surprise surprise Vol.1 is out already and debated getting Vol. 2 and then looking for the cheapest available 1 I could find, but I’ll hope for Image reprints and keep holding out.
Nice orders. I'll probably order Friday and pick up some of the following: the new Superman Rebirth DLX, Batman Rebirth DLX, and Beautiful Darkness (as a gift for a friend getting a philosophy PhD, I have a copy), The End League DCBS variant, and Superman Secret Identity.
