For #57: Read a book set in one of your teammate's hometownCan the state count? I live in Anchorage, AK but most books set in AK are set in rural AK and not the city itself.
Can a country count? One of our teammates lives in a small, German town. No chance of a book being set there. Could the book be set in Germany instead?
Team 7: QuaranQueensCompleted Task 2: 56 - Read 6 books with the same color cover

For hometown, you can use states within the US, countries outside the US. Of course if one of you lives in a big city, that is easy to use.

Hey MKat,for
52. Read 6 books set in the same location, teams decide the location
does it need to have the state in the book description or is it okay if it just says it in the book?
Thanks

You need to be able to show me how the book is set there - on the GR main book page, lists of books set in xyz, tagged set in xyz, in the précis. It can't just be in the book because there is no way to verify that. 😊

Thank you :D
For #45, it says Read 4 books by one of the 2020 FACs. Does your whole team need to read from the same author, or can they choose different ones, as long as it's one of the four?
#57: Read a book set in one of your team members’ home town. Do we all have to choose the same locale?
Eugenia wrote: "#57: Read a book set in one of your team members’ home town. Do we all have to choose the same locale?"I asked that one earlier - yes. We all need to read a book from the same location...

Yes, you can read different authors for this task.

If its in the book's main page where the information is not the blurb but like in the bottom of the blurb?

Read 6 books set on a beach or in the mountains, teams decide whichWhen you have set on a beach - do you simply mean in a beach location, like a beachside town, or Hawaii or on an island?
Jane (PS) wrote: "Read 6 books set on a beach or in the mountains, teams decide whichWhen you have set on a beach - do you simply mean in a beach location, like a beachside town, or Hawaii or on an island?"
Yes, those examples would all work. As long as you aren't trying to pass off a book set in London because England is on an island as set on a beach, you are probably going to be fine.
Jane (PS) wrote: "Hi Kat - would 'MM Romance' count for a sub-genre of romance?"Hi Kat - I think you missed this question :)
Would 'MM Romance' count for a sub-genre of romance?
Also - for the #32. Tagged as a Favorite. This is a book that has been shelved as 'favorite' - it doesn't need to show as a MPG?
Hello, TGIF. Team #17 Happy Bookers is finished with Task #1. 1. Each player reads a book by the same author, teams decide author - no pass for this task.

I must have! 🤦🏻♀️
Yes, MM Romance will count as a sub-genre.
For #32 - It just has to be tagged as 'favorite', it does not have to MPG.
Kat, quick question on this task:47. Read 6 books set in a major city.
Does the entire team have to pick the same city?
For #8. Read a book tagged as Contemporary Romance on MPGCan it be tagged "Contemporary" and "Romance" (2 MPG tags) or does it have to be tagged "Contemporary Romance" (1 MPG tag)?
All of the MM Romances I've checked carry the 2 tags, not a single "Contemporary Romance" tag.
For #66. Pick a list with over 100 romance books on it. Read a book from list.Do have to use the same list?
Aiswrya Bhaskaran wrote: "Kat, quick question on this task:47. Read 6 books set in a major city.

No, you can use different cities.

As long as both words are MPG, I will accept it.
For task 19. Read 6 books with animals on the cover. Can we count fictional animals like dragons, unicorns, Griffins, etc? Or only real-world animals?
We picked London can the blurb be good for verfication on the book? 2nd book says London, England will that work? When Rubio drags her to a private BDSM party at his friends house in the ritzy part of London.. Waking Kiss

Yes, you can use the precis, or blurb, to qualify.

I thought I asked this earlier but I can't find it... And I have a book that I really want to read, but its only 150pp so figured I'd better ask ;)
