For debut book by an author, what about the case that their first publication was a short story or less than 150 pages, could we pick their first full length book or pick another author? Also, how are you going o confirm that? Is the presence of the book in a list like this (https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...) enough?
Also can first debut book by a author be the first the author has published under a particular pen name? Intoxicating for example is the first book this author has published in MM. Though on Goodreads it says she has published elsewhere in a different genre.
Team 7: QuaranQueensCompleted Task 9: 95. Read a minimum of 1200 pages with the sun or the moon on the cover, teams decide which. - we picked moon.

What I am looking for in the author's 'debut book' is their first published unique entity. If they initially had a short story in an anthology or online, you can disregard. Otherwise, the debut needs to qualify, if it doesn't you would need to find another author.
Lists will not work, too often they are not accurate. I will be looking at the list of works on the author's page to confirm their debut book unless one is listed on author's description.
Jo * Smut-Dickted * wrote: "Also can first debut book by a author be the first the author has published under a particular pen name?"No, it needs to be the first published work by the author, no matter the name.

I'm posting this on Allie's behalf, but my completion is one of the most recent replies on the thread
Question, can I link to the amazon page for a book for the page count? My current book doesn't have the kindle pages on GR for some reason but it shows it on amazon. Thanks in advance!
Jamie (TheRebelliousReader) wrote: "Question, can I link to the amazon page for a book for the page count? There are GR Librarians here (I think) that can edit the page to add the page count.

So my book doesn't have a kindle entry at all, just paperback. I did indeed read the paperback, but I assumed there'd be a kindle or ebook entry as well. Apparently this version is only available in paperback. Can I use the paperback page count?
Team: QuaranQueens (7)Stop: 10 Task: Add up the years of the teammates' births and each teammate reads a book with that minimum number of pages. Our total is 301.

Hopefully a librarian notices and gets the page numbers added. 😊

Hi Kat - just to double-check: unless you specify a need for MPG, then a tag or list is enough? Also, the book I am looking at has the following:
Publisher note: this is a highly expanded, completely re-written version of the free short that was previously available under the same title.
The free short story doesn't appear on the editions for the book on GR (no idea where that is).
Am I OK to use the first edition of the Kindle version?

Exactly right! I just sat down for some late lunch, my shredder overheated, and will check Team 9 now. 😊

Correct to the first part - if it isn't specified MPG, it doesn't have to be. (It's just way easier for everyone if it is! 😂)
Yes to the second question as well.

For this task: Read a minimum of 1200 pages in books with one word titles...Are you counting articles as part of the title word count? In other words, would "The Stopover" be considered a one word title?

That would be a two word title - articles count for this.
I believe I am current with everything - let me know if I missed something.(I have a vague feeling that I was supposed to do something, assign a task to another team, but I don't see any that I missed. Doesn't mean my notes are accurate though so... 🤷🏻♀️)

I would love to say yes to this, but the title of your book is three words. I couldn't find any evidence that the books were by the same author, that might make a difference if that info was available.
