Giving the next task without waiting for the correction so I can get back to the project hubby and I are working on... Here is Task 10:
89. Add up the years of the teammates' births and each teammate reads a book with that minimum number of pages. For example, teammates were born in 75, 83, 87 and 94 - each teammate reads a book at least 339 pages long. No pass for this task.
Make sure you use the first edition Kindle page count!
Oops... I have no idea where that 8 came from... page count is corrected...Mine is 74.
Total so far: 220
Well we know Shelby is an 80's girl so if we read a book that is at least 310 pages we are safe :)

I have to get moving for the day, so I'm going to assign the next task. Please double check your page counts going forward. I will start getting stricter with this - I swear!Here is Task 11:

I will be looking for a 'historical' or 'futuristic' tag or the equivalent in your qualification. Lists that are specific to historical or futuristic would also work. Please remember to use the Kindle page count!
I'm going to vote historical. Mostly because futuristic books seem to be post-apocalyptic and I just can't handle that now. That said, I am not really a fan of either, so I don't know either genre that well, so I'm happy to go with whatever y'all want.
I can do either. I'm perfectly happy doing historical because that is always what I struggle with for the Shelf-A-Thon... because I somehow have a hard time getting into Historical MM.
I have no problems with other historical genres be it fiction or Non-fiction.
But I also love post-apocalyptic or dystopian fiction so I'm really good either way.

I'm happy with either. But as I know I have Hidden Figures sitting on the shelf below me right now taunting me to read it, I'd love to go with the historical plan.

I have started reading When Skies Have Fallen, 296 pgs/GR, since it looks like we'll be reading historical...I have one more lined up after that.
I'd rather do future since I really don't read historical books and I like sci-fi which tends to be future but I will bow to the majority.I fixed Shelby's page count to the kindle edition on the group post.

Yeah I just double checked that myself. I have it to read for another challenge so was hoping to knock out two. :-p I'll find something else.
Does that mean we are going with historical?
As I said, I can do which ever and I don’t mind switching books. In fact I don’t particularly enjoy MM historical that’s why I’m struggling to find books for my Shelf-a-thon.
Any way I’ve finished the above historical book this morning... and since I’ve had migraines today, I’ve listened to an audio while resting.
Together they amass 634 pages so if we stay with the historical then Danielle could do a shorter book this time since I’ve sort of covered her part too...
But I don’t mind changing to futuristic if the team decides that is the way to go.
Let's stick to historical - Myzan has done a lot already. I have to read a steampunk book sometime this month and those are usually historical so I can find something there to read.
I have a historical that is 506 pages and one that is 190 pages. Not sure how many pages we need - Michaele do you know what you are reading?So far between Myzan and Shelby we have 1050 pages so 550 more. If you are reading a book that is 360 pages or more I will read the shorter one or if not I can read the longer one.

I'm glad we went with historical, I started one after Myzan mentioned hers. I needed it for another challenge, so no big deal if we'd gone the other way :)It wasn't very long though, so I'll start looking for another one now.
I’m going to bed soon, but I’ve started to listen to Unfit to Print which is only 154 pgs, but we could use it if we need to boost the numbers a bit.
Well it's a nice gorgeous sunny SoCal day today, so I'm going to go sit outside in a socially distanced corner of my apartment's courtyard and soak up some vitamin D as I finish my book. I'm about halfway through right now so should finish in a couple hours or less. It reads pretty fast.
I have been doing work in my yard most of yesterday and today so not much time to read! I'll start Prosperity which is 190 pages and I can finish it tonight.
