My two new favorite authors are Lisa Kleypas & Jojo Moyes ~ I may be the only one who hasn't read either of them until this month!

Review
This was another fun addition to this series. It was a very fast-paced read and full of many moments that made me laugh out loud. I'm still not a super huge fan of Reyes, but I will say I liked him better in this book compared to the previous ones. I find myself very curious to see what's going to happen next, especially in light of (view spoiler)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Hey JoAnne - I hope your feeling ok! I'll link reviews up in a bit when I get on my computer. If you want to roll tonight, that's groovy. If you end up falling asleep before that, I can roll in the morning.
Week 8; Spot 65; Read book 6 in a seriesRead:
The Lodge on Holly Road (Life in Icicle Falls #6) by Sheila RobertsRating: 4stars
Date: 1/8/15
Review: Not only great continuation of the series but it's set at Christmas in Icicle Falls that could be the prototype for Christmas. Once again we met up with characters we've met before but there were so many new ones to get to know too. There were laugh out loud, roll on the floor moments, along with others more heartwarming and others that left me feeling cold. There were at least 3 happily ever afters - but who's counting? - along with a good riddance. I look forward to reading the next book in the series but unfortunately it isn't due out until July!
If you haven't been to Icicle Falls in the state of Washington before it's probably time for a visit or two, or three or ...

Hoping for a good roll!
Week 9 - Rolled 4 + 2 = 6; spot 71 Alternate - Australia
Read book 7 or 1 in a series or a 71st in a series
Stand alone book also works for the 1
Jenne - I want to go for book 1 in a series but it shows on the cover on GR that its part of this series but doesn't show it's book one. Does that mean I should go with another?
No Matter What (Billionaire Bargains, Book 1) by Sandy James
JoAnne it looks like a standalone so that works for the 1 also.Good roll!!!!
I'll be reading a first in a series just not sure what yet.

Thanks - I was thinking only 0 could be a stand alone book. Great, so I'm good with my pick!
I'll edit the post to add stand alone.
Thanks
Snowing here - expecting up to 3 inches ending late morning or early afternoon. 90 minute delay which does nothing for us but make us drive through it. Should have been a closure but oh, well.
Happy reading all.

Toby didn't seem to have much personality and felt like it was an introduction to one character after another.. so it was hard to connect with anyone. I see you're on 7 so I'm guessing they'll get better, so wondered how many books it took you to get hooked on this series?
Suzanne wrote: "I'm going to read

For me, book two was a big improvement, and each book continually got better from there. I've seen other people say they didn't get hooked until book three. Once you meet all the main characters, and they continually pop up again, it becomes easier to form connections.

Looks good. Guess I'll be adding this one to my TBR pile!

Read: A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg
Date: 1/9/2015
Rating: ****
Review: This was a short Fannie Flagg that was suggested to me in another reading group and I'm really glad I read it! It was super cute and it was just as good as Fried Green Tomatoes! Plus, it was all happy endings so I can give it to my mom to read. :)

Dang Suzanne - You're fast! ^5s!! First Review in this week!
I am finishing up my book and will have the review written tonight then it's on to the next book in the series - love when that happens!Expecting more bad weather overnight. This time could be snow, sleet, freezing rain then all rain. We'll see if they get this one right although I'd prefer a foot of snow instead of ice and sleet.
Week 9 Review for Spot 71
Book: Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews (1st Book in Series)
Finished: 01/09/15
Rating: ☆☆☆☆
Review:
Enjoyed this intro book to the Hidden Legacy series about Nevada Baylor being assigned a most challenging case (or suicide mission) to track down one of the most powerful magic users ("prime"). In order to have any hope of accomplishing, Nevada finds herself paired up with tall, dark, rich and another powerful prime (Mad). The story offered the right mix of character introductions, world building and action packed intrigue. Renee Raudman does an excellent job narrating - however, since she also narrates Kate Daniels books, I had to keep reminding myself that this was NOT Kate & Curan. It also didn't help that the storyline had a lot to do with magic but, after awhile, it finally sunk in. For now I'll anxiously await the next book to see how things pan out for Nevada & Mad.

I don't blame you - ice and sleet is wicked!
Week 9; Spot 71; Read a stand alone bookRead:
No Matter What (Billionaire Bargains #1) by Erin NicholasRating: 4stars
Date: 1/11/15
Review: Erin Nicholas is one of my favorite authors and I was immediately drawn in by the story and it only got better. While the chemistry between Jaden and Adam was there before they actually met it got hotter once they did. Watching them each be unsure of their feelings and taking two or three steps back at times was heart-wrenching. But she, physical therapist, Jaden Monroe, was hired by Adam Steele, billionaire, to help his daughter walk again after losing a leg to cancer. But they get their nice happily ever after in an unexpected way.
I look forward to reading more books by Nicholas and more books in this series.

Yea - there were definitely some stupid calls! So many of those happen anymore.. Would never want to be a ref - but really hating all their crappy calls!
Thanks. It is always interesting when we play our boy. Both QBs had good days - our defense was definitely in fire though and our offense did a good job protecting Luck.

It was good they gave the kids a 2 hour delay this morning so we were up to 3 degrees by the time the kids were getting on the bus. We are at our high now... (4 degrees) - although it's like -19 if you factor in the wind chill.
We should start a countdown to spring!
