Oh, I didn't realize the series related to the one before it. Thanks Ezi!

Thanks JoAnne - updated week 6 for now & will update week 7 if we need!

Will let you know. I may switch to book 5 in the series for week 7. Will know soon.
Off to celebrate my niece's 23 birthday at my sister's house shortly. She just flew in from HI yesterday where she moved to take a teaching job. She'll be home for a couple of weeks. Except for facebook and skyping at Thanksgiving haven't seen her since mid July. Her and my son are 7 mos. apart and are extremely close - my sister's 2 kids were forever here (she also has a 20 yr old son) or he was there and we live an hour and 20 minutes away!
Got all my grocery shopping finished for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Was out of the house a little after 9am and beat a lot of the crowds! Will only have to pick up a couple of items on Tuesday after I get out of work.
Snowing lightly here to get us in the mood. I played Christmas music yesterday while we finished decorating the tree and I decorated the living room.
Will check on gifts later so I know if I have to pick up anything else but I'm in better shape getting ready for the holidays than I usually am - I have a couple of days to spare - LOL!
Hope everyone else is getting everything done that they need to. Enjoy your Sunday!

We're Italian so I do fish and a huge antipasto. Fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, breaded artichokes, breaded cauliflower, Italian bread and lots of desserts including pastries. Christmas Day is ham with the trimmings.
Good luck - hope it's as easy as my trip to the store was!

We're out and about today - family Christmas parties!
Hope to be home for the game today!
(Or else it better be on wherever we're at!)

I've read all the Hathaways and loved them!

Book: Lick by Kylie Scott
Read: 12/23/2014
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
I absolutely devoured Lick, which is the first book in a trilogy by Kylie Scott. Evelyn wakes up in Vegas after her 21st birthday bash and finds herself waking up to a gorgeous tattood man, hung over, and wearing a diamond the size of Dallas on her left hand ring finger! She, of course, remembers nothing.. But her "husband" apparently does... This story follows the couple as they navigate their predicament and try to decide whether to proceed with an annulment or if they should give themselves some time to see if there is anything there. Course, did I mention the gorgeous man is also a rock star? Just to add another layer of complexities to navigate through! This was a book I fell instantly in love with and had trouble tearing myself away. Both characters were easy to connect with and I found myself caring how they both fared. This book definitely deserves at least 4-hubba-hubba-stars!

Book: Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews

Review:
Although I really enjoyed this book, I didn't totally "love it-love it" like the last 2 I read and couldn't put down. I'm not sure why that is other than the first part of the book just didn't suck me in nearly as quickly. (Perhaps I have read too many Kate's in a row?) However, once I got further into the book, it did definitely pick up for me. What I enjoyed about this book is the heart-to-heart talks between Kate and Curran. I appreciate that when they have a concern about their relationship, Kate and Curran actually talk about it, rather than to not say anything, keep their secrets, and continue on with one misunderstanding after another. So, YES, I totally was on board with how Kate & Curran's relationship has been evolving and strengthening in a very healthy and mature manner. I also was pleased with the strengthening in the bond between Kate & Julie and the focus of the story placed here. Kate is always so tough & kick ass, it's nice to see her immense capacity for love and selflessness.
It's been fun watching Kate adjust to being the 'lady' of the pride and take on additional responsibilities, as well as starting her own investigative business with Andrea.

Enjoy the rest of these two weeks reading whatever you want to!

Today is baking, wrapping & movies day!
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

Review: This book was good but not as funny as I had hoped it would've been. I like Tara Sivec and Kristen Ashley and I was hoping it would live up to their books, but maybe the next one in the series will. The author did a really good job of portraying the main character as an asshole but not one that I would immediately hate. He was more of a jerk, but an honest jerk? I don't know, I liked it anyway.

Reading is not going so well for me so far lol. Both my little guy and myself have been sick since Friday so I haven't had the energy to do much. I'm finally starting to feel better so hopefully I can get back to reading! :-)

Hope you both feel better.
Merry Christmas.

Cat woke me up around 7:15am so may try to nap sometime today. Only 5 of us here today for dinner.
Merry Christmas all. Hope everyone enjoys their celebrations.

I liked Tangle too, Suzanne, but, ya, it wasn't a Tara Sivec for sure!
Hope you and the little one feel better soon Steph Ann.
Glad your night went well JoAnne!
Enjoy your day, everyone!

Wish I could stay home tomorrow night and read but for some reason people frown on that... Grrr...

Happy New Year teammates!

Hope the new year shines brighter for you!

I have a few teams in needing a player and was going to wait until after the next roll to really start looking. Since the holidays will have died down by then.

Hope the new year shines brighter for you!"
Me too, Steph Ann, what JoAnne said.
Tomorrow starts a new year with a clean slate and all sorts of good things can happen in 2015.

Review: Great continuation of the series and love meeting up with characters we've met before. Wouldn't mind living in a place like Icicle Falls! This is Jen and Garrett's story and what a story. The chemistry was there but he was always running. It was heartwarming to see how Jen changed her life, made new friends, found new jobs and ways to fill her time but most importantly simplified her life to follow her dreams. Nice inclusion of the quotes at the start of each chapter from Muriel Sterling, the author of Simplicity that was a guide throughout the telling of this story. Nice happily ever afters for several characters and so looking forward to the next two books in the series.

Switched to book 5 in this series

Happy New Years!

Happy New Years!

Okay - have one more review to submit and I'll plan on rolling! Steph Ann's getting a bye for the two weeks not sure if anyone else needs it. Nice that we get to save the free pass!

What a game changer!! Lucas is still an asshat though...and now Holden is a new favorite! This ending just guaranteed I'll be reading the next one sooner rather than later too. Can't wait to see where the series goes next.

I'll link of the reviews in a little bit. Looks like we are needing Jennie's review for spot 48 & A review from JoAnne & Suzanne for Spot 55.
Is that right or did I miss any?
I just realized today is Thursday. The days are starting to run together!

She is my favorite writer in HR, period. Hands down. No other stands on that HR pedestal. Rosalyn Landor just nails these regency stories.
I loved this series, but may I recommend you read the series in order.
