True. I guess that's another good reason to have buddies on GR to help you navigate those differences.. Haha

For sure helpful :DI'd never have picked Kate Daniels back up if it weren't for my friends here, or tried Harry Dresden on audio....

that was fast - great job!
This is going to be another slow week for me, as I'm continuing to have cat issues. My book will be done on time though!
Steph Ann wrote: "This is going to be another slow week for me, as I'm continuing to have cat issues. My book will be done on time though!"So sorry to hear. I have a cat too and wouldn't want anything to happen to her.
Hope all goes well.

I hope you are liking your book too!

Almost done. If I finish it tonight I'll write my review here and then tomorrow night my review that needs to be submitted to RomanceJunkies.com
Waiting to see if we get a rain, sleet, snow mixture. Tomorrow is supposed to be heavy rains and winds but only hitting about 40.
Sounds like you'll be done with time to spare as well. :)Ugh on the weather... We've been getting a lot of rain and cold, but not cold enough for sleet/snow at least. (yet) I haven't actually been watching the weather reports though because I don't really want to know how gross the weather is going to get.

I like to prepare myself. I get weather alerts for the area we live in on my computer plus I usually listen to local radio back and forth from work.
week 4 Roll 8; space 36 - Read book 3 in a series
Believe (True Believers #3) by Erin McCarthyRead 12/9/14
Rating 4 stars
Review - A little slow getting into it but once the pace picked up it gripped me more than I expected. Phoenix and Robin had explosive chemistry from the beginning but neither knew what to do about it since they came from very different backgrounds and had experienced totally different things in life. Nice closure and a happily ever after in the offing. Looking forward to reading books 1 and 2 in the series since I've already read book 4!

Review:
So these books are not fast reads, even though it's not a high page count. Now that being said the build up to the "big thing" at the end is interesting. But once you get to the last 20% or so it goes from an ok read to a holy crow read. And that is my reason for my love/hate relationship with Vicki Pettersson's writing style. Now some major bombs were dropped at the end of this one and I do want to read book 3 soon rather than later but I know it will be a chore to get through to "the meat of the story". I think if I cared more for the characters it would help. Don't get me wrong I do like them, I just don't love them. As usual though Ms. Pettersson's world building is unique, very unique I just wish I was more sold than I am.

Thanks JoAnne! If you want to roll Friday morning, that would be awesome! Hopefully that means you are still feeling well. :)
If you end up falling asleep, I can roll when I get up in the morning (which will be about 5 hours later at 6AM my time)....
I will be up. Feeling much better. Even my cold seems to be clearing up. I'll plan on rolling. Hoping for another good one.
So glad you are well! :)Thank you for rolling! I'll be sending good roll vibes your way Thursday night.
(But no pressure if you zonk out. )

Review: So this series is growing on me. I didn't care for book 1, then I read book 2. Book 2 was more interesting and now I've read book 3 and seem to enjoy it more. It's like Hogwarts in space. Or Serenity only with teenagers and lots of ANGST. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's ok. I may try to read the first one again to see if giving it a second chance makes me like it more.

Thanks Suzanne! I'll link this up in a few!
Suzanne & JoAnne - I'm not sure if this matters but can you edit your post to show your reviews are for week 4 instead of 5?
Only one more to go before tonight's roll.Been snowing here since yesterday afternoon. All is white except part of the street but so far only about an inch. Surprisingly school is open - not even a delay. So unlike the school system.
Off to start my day.
Kristin ~ Experiment in Terror Junkie wrote: "Suzanne & JoAnne - I'm not sure if this matters but can you edit your post to show your reviews are for week 4 instead of 5?"yep - I thought it wasn't right when I was typing it.
Going in now to change it.
Thanks! I know you guys were just thinking ahead... :)Our schools have been hesitant to call a delay or snow day so far this year too. I think it's because there were so many school closing last winter. Hopefully you don't get too much more!

Review
I was not prepared for that. I love that this series is dark and gritty, but dang, poor Rhiannon went through a lot in this book. One thing in particular made me incredibly sad, and I can only hope that somehow, something can be done to change it. While this one didn't end as cliffhanger-y as the previous books (book one in particular), it still ended in a way that leaves me hungry for more. It looks like I'll have a bit of a wait for book 4 (I think last I saw, 2016 was the projected year), but I'll be ready for it when it gets here!
Kristin ~ Experiment in Terror Junkie wrote: "Suzanne & JoAnne - I'm not sure if this matters but can you edit your post to show your reviews are for week 4 instead of 5?"Done!
I was so sad too SA :(I read that when it was released like 2 years ago maybe? I've been waiting forevvvvvvver for the next one. She's already re-released #1 with deleted info included and will do the same with the next 2 next year.
Wonderful job Team getting all reviews in early this week again! JoAnne - all reviews have been linked to Post 284 so we are good to go tonight!
WOO-HOOOOOOO!

I've had the book for over a year, but kept putting off reading it because at the time, she wasn't sure if she was going to continue due to piracy. I'm glad I finally read it!

YAY - thanks team! Hoping for a good roll. Blowing on the dice already.
I have so many series books to read. Can't wait to see which ones I'll be debating on to read next!
LOL! You & me both! I've been wrapping books up yesterday / today so tomorrow I can properly dig into whatever fits the roll the guardian dice angels bestow upon us!!

Unfortunately, it's been a really awful last week and a half or so. I ended up having to put one of my cats down last week and the other one has been really sick this week as well and the outlook is not looking good. It's just been rough.

Plus I can use it for two other challenges.
