Gail- thank you for all the organizing. It is very easy to read! My tasks are correct.

Mine are good too. Though I do have an update. I've decided on a different book for Round Seven. I am going to read The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis instead of Bridget Jones's Diary
Great - thanks, guys. Glad the spreadsheet makes sense. :-)I was going to make a new thread for books completed, but I'm thinking that might confuse things, and it might be easier to keep reporting all in one place. What do you all think? What if we keep this thread and people post the books they've read here?
And also please, whenever anyone rolls a new number, can you post it here, and post what board number you land on and what your task is. This makes it easier for me to keep track and put things onto the spreadsheet. The other 'High Five' thread is more for chatting - if people post their rolled numbers there, it's harder for me to find among all the chat, and I have a feeling there will be a lot more chat during the Toppler! Thanks. :-)
IF i simply have to read a book of my choice i will go for Elephant Moon - if my book has to fit a criteria let me know. I am sorry i have literally just come back from a month away. I have not time at moment to read all rules etc but have loads of books on my shelf i can probably fit any criteria required. For instance if need a book in Canada i have Keeper of Tides. Will need a day or 2 to get head around everything but am willing to follow instructions

Okay guys I am sorted now... please add my book on the spreadsheet. I will be reading
for the nutty fruitcake. Only 20 mins left..I hope that I will roll the dice a third time for the win!!
Okay, added it. I've put that your second roll was 28, Paakhi, because 27 wouldn't have got you to the fruitcake task. Let me know what your next roll is.
Gail wrote: "Okay, added it. I've put that your second roll was 28, Paakhi, because 27 wouldn't have got you to the fruitcake task. Let me know what your next roll is."Oh Gail.. you saved me, yes it was 28, i just checked the scrap of paper where i had calculated. i regret the inconvenience :)
Ah great - thanks for confirming it, Paakhi. No problem - I just want to make sure it all adds up on the spreadsheet. :-) I'm not quite sure what would happen if someone miscalculated and read the wrong book!

I am glad now that there is no scope for that. I am also glad that I could finally find the book that perfectly fits the nutty fruitcake character!

I've read Three Little Words for my 1st task, 22 Indigo Place for the 2nd, and Agatha Raisin and the Potted Gardener for my 4th task. I've just started my 4th book, and hope to finish tonight.
I am reading my books completely out of order because of due dates at the library and audiobook access. So I have finished three books:
Round Four book, Hallowe'en Party by Agatha Christie
Round Five book, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
Round Six book, The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells

How did you like the Rosie Project?
It made me laugh and think about things, too, about self-identification, relationships, behavior, emotions, perceptions, etc. It was intelligent but fun, not pedantic.
Now I feel really bad, Life happened. After having been sick all week, I barely opened a book all weekend. I will try To finish my first book tonight. Will then have to get serious about reading for the rest of the weekend

I finally finished my first book about an hour ago :)
Marie Claude, sorry you've been unwell. Chicken soup can do a body wonders. Wish it were the real thing.
I have finished my next three books:Round One, The Winter Queen by Boris Akunin
Round Two, Thirteen For Luck by Agatha Christie
Round Seven, The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis

Oh dear... You are all so much ahead of me! After spending a weekend away with my family and reading not very much, I just read all your messages. This morning I finished my first book: Thirty Days Have September for my 'tree on the cover task' (Gail's round 7 task - my round 3 task).Ready for my second one!
Thank you for the good wishes. I'm back at work this morning, and will read during my coffee break and lunch time (all by myself today), so should be able to finish Slaughterhouse-Five for my first task before or at the afternoon coffee break. It's longer to read because it's not grabbing me :( The next one should be easier: Some Like It Hot-Buttered
I finished Christmas Angel for my round 3, Menu for Romance for roll 5, and Forget Me Not for roll 6 yesterday.
Marie Claude wrote: "Thank you for the good wishes. I'm back at work this morning, and will read during my coffee break and lunch time (all by myself today), so should be able to finish Slaughterhouse-Five) I read for the june-toppler! It was indeed a fast read and very nice!
I have finished The Fault in Our Stars and 1/4 way through my next book. We have some amazing readers on our team!
I have been doing some major cleaning and organizing. The good thing that has come out of it is that even though my house looks more messy since I am still to put everything away, I have managed to start and finish a 9hour audiobook during my cleaning marathon.I read Vampire Academy for Round 3 task which I had exchanged with Gail (Round 4).
And I rolled again, getting an 11. That brings me to 29 -
29 = Foursquare (Social Media edition) – I don’t know what most of the social media icons stand for, or what they mean. A lot of them have only existed for a few years, so read a YA book. Check out your area and see what’s happening.

Guys I am 80% done with my round 2 book, i decided to roll the dice for a third time, i got 13 that landed me on 2, i am feeling lucky...hopefully. .. waiting for Jmom's decision... Happy reading to all
M enjoying my first toppler with a cup of green tea and late night munching...
Pragya wrote: "And I rolled again, getting an 11. That brings me to 29 .."Pragya, you were on 13 previously. So now you are on 24, not 29.
24 = Frozen Flag Pole (A Christmas Story Edition) - For those of you who haven’t seen A Christmas Story, it’s truly a classic. How embarrassing to get your tongue stuck to frozen metal, and painful too! Read a book with a cover that embarrasses you. And be sure someone sees the cover.
IMPORTANT: Everyone, when you roll a new number, it adds on from the board number you were on in the previous round. The board number is in column C of the spreadsheet.

Paakhi, I said this in the other thread, but in case you don't see it, 13 will land you on 16, not 2, because you were on 3 before.
16 = Tumblr (Social Media Edition) – People are convinced that everyone else wants to know what they’re doing and what they’re thinking about. Read a book that’s in essay, diary, letter, e-mail, or blog format.
(Unless I'm missing something here. I'm very tired today so might have worked it out wrong, but I can't figure out how you got 2.)

Oh yes. Sorry about that, Gail. Thanks for keeping us in check. Would anyone like to swap that one?
That's okay - glad it's all sorted. :-)Pragya, I was going to offer that you could swap it with my Task 4 task to read a Booker prize novel (because that's the only one I haven't yet started reading for), but I realised you're the one who swapped that with me in the first place! Lol - it gets very complicated!

Lol. This is going to be difficult. I don't have any paperback with embarassing covers and I don't think kindle or audio book fits in with this task. :/
Oh gosh, I didn't even realise it was the embarrassing cover one - I just saw 'frozen' and thought it was the snow one. It's a good thing I didn't swap - I don't have any books that embarrass me either! I just don't get embarrassed by book covers.
I wonder if there are embarrassing alternatives - like playing an audiobook out loud on the bus, and then saying 'Ooops sorry' when people turn to look at you, and then putting your headphones in! I'm always embarrassed when I accidentally play something out loud!
I wish it was the snow one instead.Oh yeah, that does sound embarrassing. I hope someone's up for a swap though. I will keep looking until then.
As planned, I finished Slaughterhouse-Five this afternoon for my first task, reading a classic book.Off to start the next now while dinner is cooking...
