That's good to know. I don't mind giving this series a second chance. I also bought the first book in the McCarrick series too, at least I bought them used so they didn't cost that much.

Sigh, I Only have 1 more book for my challenge. But I have to read the rest of the Riley Jenson books before I can get to it. They were checked out of the library and appearantly people are waiting on them, so I can't renew them. Here's hoping I can get motivated to finish off the series (or at least, the ones that my library had, which was all but I think #6) especially since I'm wanting lite/fluffy/fun books for some reason.

I'm to 6 of 9 read. I just finished CATCHING FIRE. Just when you think the story is going one direction, it takes a drastic turn. I ended up gasping out loud numerous times as I was so surprised.

This was a great book. Now, I have to sit and wait for the end of the trilogy. Blah! I am inpatient!! :)

Just finished the 4th and final book (so far) in the Night Huntress series, Destined for an Early Grave. I hesitated starting this one as I didn't want the series to end. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and am sad I have to wait until 2011 for the next installment :(

Finished a PNR anthology, Just One Sip. I'm pretty easy to please as a reader, but I think the stories were pretty sub-par. If you have this on your TBR, it would be best to skip it.

Just finished You Slay Me and I loved it! After having finished three sloppy Anita Blake books it was a breath of air, funny, sexy, entertaining. Definitely one to recommend. =)

I can't find the source of my info! I do remember reading it won't be released until 2011, however Jeaniene Frost has 2 books for release in 2010 from the Night Huntress World. Charles' story, First Drop of Crimson will be release in Feb 2010, and Mencheres’s story, Eternal Kiss of Darkness, will be released in August 2010.

Michelle - Have you read the novella The Warlord Wants Forever ? I think if you read that, you would be familiar enough with the world that you could skip A Hunger Like No Other and be just fine.

Jan, I haven't read the novella yet. After reading A Hunger Like No Other, and not liking it, I've heard good things about the rest of the series. I just started No Rest for the Wicked earlier today, and I'm liking that one much better.

Darkfever surprised me. I really liked it and again have gotten inthralled in yet another series. I found it had more exciting moments than Moon Called. Don't get me wrong I like the Mercedes Thompson series so far, but will probably put it off until I get done with the fever series (or as far as I can go for now). All together I highly recommend Darkfever.

Bitten started off slowly for me (this was my second attempt at reading it) but I'm glad I persisted as I enjoyed it once I got past the point I'd previously stopped at. I didn't LOVE it (3.5 stars) but enough that I went out and bought the next five books in the series :)

Finished [image error] . I heard some people had trouble with the beginning of the book, heard pretty conflicting reviews and maybe I wasn't expecting much.. but I loved it. It was intense, hot, romantic, exciting and funny too! The only thing I didn't like was the ending. It seemed like Cole got to hear last moment she needed to cut 50 pages and just stuffed everything into 2 chapters instead of more. It felt a bit rushed. I would give it a 4 minus but since that isn't available and I'm in a generous mood today, I'll round it up to a full 4.
I can't wait for the second book about Kaderin and Sebastian!

Overall it was ok. I mean, I loved the characters but something was seriously wrong with the plot and I can't really put it into words. It's like so much of the book was spent setting up the characters and thier backstories that the actual relationship was rushed into the book towards the end. Also the big love scene was lacking, it was like ... "oh, I haven't had this position yet so this will do". I felt like it didn't fit the characters.

Ok, my last 2 challenge books are on order so I'll be reading The 2nd book in the Would-Be Witch series!

Mel, Bitten was probably my least fav of the series. They definitely get better!
