Review: I'm such a wimp, I prefer to handle the mild books labeled horror. LOL. Well, I usually only sleep about 4 hrs a night, so I want to sleep and not have nightmares. This is a good spooky story for those just wanting to tip toes into horror genre. Ollie recently experienced a tragedy in her life and checked out of the things she used to love to do at school. Now she just wants to be left alone. But Ollie is a very curious girl and that curiosity leads her on an interesting trip with a few classmates.

Review: This book was hard for me to get through. The pace of this book just slogged for me and it took me forever to get into and finish it. Plus the narrator annoys me and so I was switching back and forth between audible and the paperback.

Review: This was a fun quick read about a 16 year old girl who takes a summer job on a horse ranch and finds herself the carer of a wild black horse she calls Chance. They develop a bond while at the same time Lucy develops a crush on her fellow ranch hand, Casey. It's been a long time since I've read a sweet, wholesome YA horse story, in fact I think I was a kid the last time I did and it was a nice change of pace.

Review: I think this should have more than 5 tags for humor, there was some seriously funny lol parts. The male MC has been jilted at the alter twice....seems like a nice guys finish last scenario. He has a good heart, but keeps picking the wrong woman. His mom can get over the top, which is where most of the humor comes from. The female MC just wants a safe lifestyle.

Review: The Radleys is a story of a family of 'abstaining' vampires trying to fit into middle-class rural England. Parts of this book were hilarious, particularly husband Peter's struggle with his crush on the vapid next door neighbour, Lorna. I felt for Helen and Peter's teenage children, Rowan and Clara, who find out the hard way that they're vampires and not just 'intolerant' to the sun.

Jen | 92 comments I just re-read the rules for this game, and in order to win, we have to be the first team to get bingo. There is zero chance of this happening unless we start completing some categories. Right now we only have 2 in addition to the free space and we are starting week 7.

May I make the (possibly unpopular) suggestion that we drop the team members that are unable to maintain the reading schedule? I believe this would result in our being allocated replacement players. I'm not sure what then happens to the categories that have already passed - we will have to check with the mods - but I suspect that we would have a much better chance of catching up.

Plethora (bookworm_r) | 487 comments We actually have only request two spaces, the free space and the disability shelf.

I did PM the mod yesterday that yes, we are struggling because books aren't being read consistently.

I have not heard anything back at this time.

Jill | 40 comments Hi all, totally not offended that you are looking for a replacement for me. TBH, I've been struggling with reading in general. I'm pregnant and nauseous all the time, and have a hard time reading physical or audio. I usually read 12+ books per month, but read 9 books last month and am on track to read like 5 this month.

Anyway, I've finished my book for week 4, so I'll post that for you guys. Sorry I couldn't make this challenge work :(

ETA: Also realized I read a book that fits the humor category. Posting that as well

Review: I really enjoyed this book. It is addicting and keeps you guessing how and what'll happen. It goes into detail about how the memory machine works, and there's some time travel involved. Some of it went over my head, but it was pretty easy to follow. It had the same feel to Dark Matter. The main characters are racing against time, so the pacing is pretty fast.
