The Murder List by Hank Phillippi Ryan https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Did a reread of Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen this week, my third and probably not the last.
Today I read three short stories by William Faulkner, my favorite of which was one called “Turnabout,” set near the end of WWI. Four stories left to finish out the collection, which I intend to do before year’s end.
Not sure yet what I will start reading tomorrow. I’m waffling between a cozy and a nonfiction.

Opted for the nonfiction, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, a classic group read for August.
Edited, 11:30 pm: Finished. I generally do not care for biographies, but found this one to be quite readable and short enough that I finished in one day.

I finished
The Wishsong of Shannara by Terry Brooks yesterday. My current reads are:
Case Pending by Dell Shannon the first in the Luis Mendoza series. On my Nook. Horrible cover.
King Javan's Year by Katherine Kurtz On my Nook.
The Magic of Recluce by L.E. Modesitt Jr. Started listening to the audiobook earlier today.
Dipping into older paranormal romances by Nora Roberts this weekend. Finished Morrigan's Cross, book one in her Circle trilogy this morning. Now I’m starting book two, Dance of the Gods. Takes a bit to get into them, but after the first couple chapters they’re hard to put down. Since these have been in Mount TBR for some time, I figure book two or three will count towards a September challenge.
I finished a short story: Case 1 - The Murder Of The Reids: Memoirs of Detective Wade Falx
by J.S. Gill.My 2 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I just finished a great start to a new urban fantasy series: The Slaughtered Lamb Bookstore and Bar
by Seana Kelly.My 4 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
