Jennifer (jennbehindthebooks) I understand!! I am not a slow reader, I just have a difficult time making time to read. I have a hard time fathoming how others can read 300 books in a year and still have time for daily tasks! 🤯

That's the great thing about only living with my cat! If I don't feel like cleaning or doing the dishes, she doesn't care! She's quite happy to sit on my lap while I read and she never complains about the cat hair accumulating on the kitchen chair legs! I've yet to figure out why chair legs accumulate so much cat hair in 24 hours!😆🤣😂😁🐱💖

I don't read 300 books a year but I do read a bit over 100. Here's my secret. If you saw my condo you wouldn't have to ask. LOL Me: Dust or finish my book? Hmmmm" Wash the floors or start a new book? Hmmmm" LOL

Today Christmas at the Island Hotel was whispering in my ear. Christmas at the Island Hotel (Mure, #4) by Jenny Colgan

Reread The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry today. Still resonates with me after all these years. 🙂

😆Finish the book always takes priority over all else. If the police ever had to come into my house, they would assume I had been burglarized! I have a magnet on my fridge that says "My housekeeping style is best described as...There appears to have been a struggle."🤣😂😁

Funny! 😂

Mine isn’t that bad. I can’t function if there’s too much of a mess. I’m usually one of those “clean as you go” types. At most you’ll find a stack of dishes next to the sink, but any pans will have been scrubbed or at least set to soak.

I love this quote about patience:

"I had my patience tested. I'm negative."

That's me when it comes to wanting time to read!😆"

Haha! Love it!!

DITTO!! I have boxes I need to sort through. Boxes or read? Hmmm... Straighten the table or read? Hmmm... Organize or read? Well, you get the picture.

When holidays roll around the table "crap" goes into a box to sort later... after reading, of course! :o)

Mark Baker (carstairs38) | 1058 comments That's one thing that has improved with this pandemic. I have upped my cleaning game. I mean, the janitorial staff at my new office (my kitchen table) has been horrible, so someone had to clean.

You mean you don't just angle the camera away from the organized piles during online meetings? :o)

message 1015: by Mark (new)

Mark Baker (carstairs38) | 1058 comments I don't have my camera hooked up. :)

But it wasn't just the table that needed to be cleaned.

Jane I'm just finishing The Making of The Wizard of Oz by Aljean Harmetz The Making of The Wizard of Oz by Aljean Harmetz , which I have enjoyed a bunch. I don't know -how- many times I've seen the movie. Saw also the movie Under the Rainbow, with Chevy Chase & Carrie Fisher, mostly about the stress of dealing with the Munchkin actors. Funny but sad.
