Huge salute to our Champs League finalists after a couple of incredible results over last couple of nights. Have disliked Liverpool (dislike, not hate; that is saved for Mansfield Town and Forest!) ever since I was a kid but how can I - or anyone else - NOT respect what they achieved on Tuesday night? And then last night? Waaay out. How many folk gave up on Spurs by half-time? Plenty of their own supporters I'd wager. Great to see Poch in tears at the end; reckon I'd have been the same.
How 'bout you Foe? D'ya think it was all over by the mid-point??

Hi Blastro, I was listening to the game on the radio last night, and when the second goal for Ajax went in, the commentator said something along the lines of, "And that's Ajax in the final"! That's when I turned off. In the second half I turned on and Spurs had scored twice but with about ten minutes left of the game, I'm ashamed to say I again turned it off, my nerves got the better of me. I only knew we'd won when my father in law, gave me a ring and invited me down the pub for a drink. Happy days!! :-)

Edit - Ever since the start of the tournament I've been wearing my lucky black socks with a gold cup on each one, (only on match days not nonstop since last June, and washed in between games I hasten to add). If we go on to win it, I'll have them as a keepsake.

Ohhh, it's just another one of M&D's mega meltdowns followed by a big blow-up - but it unfortunately all kicked off on Mum's 79th Birthday and sadly ended up in pretty much ruining it so all-out War has currently been declared between them!
