Dare I risk commenting out loud that the Suns are playing better now?! - LOL!!!"
Only if you think giving up a lead of 31 points to lose by 4 is "better".

Well done to Dean who nearly scooped the pool this week. The Crows scored 2 points less than the Bulldogs otherwise we would all have been gaping in awe. Tech has put two points between him and David on the cumulative ladder but we've still got time to catch him. Just need to tip better.
Check your scores!

If anyone would like to view the AFL Ladder before submitting next week's tips, it's at http://www.afl.com.au/ladder
Next week's fixtures are:
Thursday, June 20
West Coast Eagles v Essendon Bombers
Friday, June 21
Sydney Swans v Hawthorn Hawks (in Sydney)
Saturday, June 22
Melbourne Demons v Fremantle Dockers (in Melbourne)
St Kilda Saints v Brisbane Lions (in Melbourne)
Port Power v Geelong Cats (in Adelaide)
Sunday, June 23
Western Bulldogs v Collingwood Magpies (in Melbourne)
If punters could lodge their tips by midnight WEDNESDAY June 19 (your time) it would be a great help, although I can accept them up until 10.45am THURSDAY June 20 (your time) if absolutely necessary.

Sorry, I'll try not to muscle in next time..

No! Keep muscling! The Bulldogs need all the help they can get and everyone loves them, everyone's "second team".

Nah just kidding, I know what ya mean. I shall indeed keep plugging away, and in the hope that the Dawgs' fortune is now on the up.

Swans

If it's anywhere as good as the London production, I think you'll love it - Harry Potter that is

Thanks David. It was a spectacular Part 1. The theatre was closed for 9 months to prepare the set, re-upholster all the seats (in red and gold), completely re-carpeted, and all the walls painted with HP stencilled pattern. It looked lush:

I was a bit worried in the first half. Incredible sets, staging, choreography and magic aren't enough in themselves. However the second half really upped the drama and it became a true play where you were invested in the individual characters. The ending was stupendous and eerie. I am really looking forward to tomorrow night. Did you see it all on one day or split? It opened here in January. When tickets went on sale last year, I blithely thought I'll book for February or March. June was the earliest I could get! I think it's expected to run here for at least two years. People will book packages and fly in from interstate, New Zealand and possibly S.E. Asia.

West Coast Eagles (Sussex) v Essendon Bombers (Val)
3.4.22 (Q1) 4.0.24
7.14.56 (Q2) 6.1.37
11.17.83 (Q3) 8.1.49
14.22.106 (Q4) 11.5.71
The Eagles by 35 points and guess who picked that exact margin? Duke did. $6.00 going to Insight. Well picked!
(Don't know how they managed 22 behinds!)

I've just watched the game, Val. The Eagles just couldn't kick straight. It should have been a massacre. The commentators were joking at one point in the last quarter, when it was 12 goals to 11, that Essendon could kick more goals than West Coast and still lose by a 3-goal points margin.

Glad you enjoyed it so far. I actually went to see it twice - once with my son and once with my daughter, both grown-up. First time it was 2 consecutive nights and the second time the same day. Think I preferred the former. Enjoy part 2

Thanks for the update. It certainly looked very weird on paper. It will help Essendon's percentage on the very outside chance they make the eight.

I was with my daughter (adult). There were a lot of children there and I wonder what they made of it because it's a very wordy play and the dialogue is thick and fast.

Don't know if you follow the Save The Bilby campaign but I get their newsletters via email and today's said:
"We have had a bit of a celebration out here. It’s only been a month but already we have wild-born bilby babies!
My days have been really long – and my nights too. The bilbies are our number one priority and we have to watch them closely for weeks. I sneak a bit of kip in the swag, when I can but the rest of the time we are tracking and monitoring the health and movement of the bilbies.
Everything has been going so well that we decided it was time to open the soft release area. Before we did that, we caught up all 6 animals and checked them over. Which brings me to my incredible news – three of our four females have had babies including 2 sets of twins.
Bilbies have one of the shortest pregnancies of any mammals at just 12-14 days. So, they have definitely conceived out here in the park – Unbelievable. We are ecstatic, as well as reassured that the bilbies are exhibiting normal behaviours and settling in to their new environment.
And, it only makes us even more determined to reach our goal of 40 tail transmitters so that we can be ready for the next group of bilbies to be released.
Valerie, I know that you have supported our thirty tail trackers by June 30 campaign, so please accept my gratitude and just enjoy the good news this email brings.
We haven’t made our goal yet, but we are hopeful!"
Isn't that lovely! I'm sure every little bit helps so hopefully we'll be able to send them some more dosh by season's end.

Mibbe the eniee meenie minee mo approach is the way forward...spent snafu time choosing me tips this week!

When he says he had a kip I in the swag where is that?"
I know that one, it's a bedroll.
🎼 "Once a jolly swagman...'

This is what a 21st Century swag looks like (they come in single or double)

Adelaide Crows (Dean) v Richmond Tigers (Philip)
1.1.7 (Q1) 3.2.20
3.7.25 (Q1) 5.6.36
10.10.70 (Q3) 8.9.57
15.11.101 (Q4) 9.14.68
Congrats Dean! Your Crows did it for you and you picked the closest margin - Crows by 27. You might even end up winning the highest score too as not many teams are making over a hundred this season.
