4 done. So Visalakshi has read 5 books so far, I'm pairing her with Bookworm who seems to be unstoppable this year.;)
It's Pallavi and I in the other team.
I will create the thread in the evening.
Any suggestion on how point distribution? 1 pt or 5 pts per book?

Lol...That's only because of the KD, NB series. The crests and troughs in my reading journey. Sigh!
Sure. After you create the thread, should we wait till tomorrow, folks who check the site in the evenings might be interested to join as well (I hope).
Pts I'm fine with anything. Though 10 would be cooler. :D

10 then. :)"

You can think about replacing "Romance" with "Horror". :P
Like Horror books are more appealing than Romance ...

I second only the part of including Horror as a new option.
@Em: I will have a look once the new thread for this is created.

all categories are fine! you guys talking about years.. which category is that? award winner?

If it's only 4 of us, then Em and Pallavi in one team and you and I will be on the other. I do hope many will participate and we'll have more teams.
Regarding the years, each category has to be within the decade 2011-2020. So when we pick a book we need to make sure that we can strike off a category along with a year.
Say, Golden Son, so this will cross out #6 and 2015. And so on.
We basically are playing our own "match the following", so we need to strike off all the categories, for us to move on to the prior decade i.e. 2001-2010. (hence, 10 categories, 10 years)

And maybe if there's another column of years beside the category with bullets of a,b,c etc., It'll be easier to understand and match (say we matched #6 and (b)), we can cross out both 6 and b.
And this is how I got the most uncreative challenge name. (match & strike/cross)?
I'll better leave these things to the creative ones. :D

It depends on what kind. Some are marketed as horrors but they're usually just paranormal with thriller being a subplot and they don't actually tend to be that scary.
Let's see.
Worst case we make the partners take care of it. :D
Last time I checked, I was not into horror movies too. But I haven't watched anything for last few years. Who knows maybe I'll like them now.

GR, Really? That's all it takes to confirm my suspicions? :D

(new)

But it's difficult, I googled about one of the characters in the 2nd book and unknowingly read an important plot point of the current one. Sigh!

I should have taken an acre of land - id have something to show for my hard work🤦♀️

Void Star Sci-Fi for decade challenge purposes...
Black Sun Epic Fantasy- maybe bit boring at first but after 50-60% story really picks up & it's awesome!! Loved this!
Graveminder wtf is this shit? Don't read this. You have been warned. It is boring as hell.
Orphan X premise looks interesting! Will start today if time permits

All the while Nathan.

Fantastic, classic MCH.
Definitely recommend 👌"
Had read StillWatch long back, was not a fan.
Read a couple more Mary Higgins Clark books too, was not a fan either.
Somehow I always feel most of her plots are predictable.
Finished Firekeeper's Daughter and it was good. Currently reading Lessons in Chemistry, thought it'd be a romance but I was wrong. It's a woman's story in 1950s, misogyny in society at the time, how people look down upon young, promising women, specially if they are more intelligent than you. Around 40% in, anc am loving it. Hope it stays like this till the end.

Splatterpunk horror & then worms.
Do I recommend this novel for all? No, it's not for the faint-hearted.
Disturbing? Absolutely.
Worth it? Cathartic really.
How did I feel whilst reading it & finishing it? WTF is this shit!
Bad Writing? No
Scared? No
Disgusted? Absolutely.

1. The Book of Cold Cases.
2. The Shadow of the Wind
3. The Hunting Party
4. The Murder on Black Swan Road.
5. Say Nothing.
6. The Forest of Stolen Girls.
to start with.

Shadow of the wind is slow at first then picks up real fast.
Hunting party didn't like it.
I'll check out the rest & add to my Tbr

Hope you like it.
