Leena, Yes. That's true. And I have observed that on rereads for certain books ratings also change because of our own perceptions and experiences.

There's no stopping you. You're on a roll :D
Finished your Feb challenges?
Leena wrote: "oh, ;Bookworm those are also the books that get downgraded because they just are not worthy of an upgrade. so,it's 2.5 stars graded down to 2 etc."
Yeah, that happens with me too.
I started Daisy Jones & The Six yesterday. read a few chapter and got distracted by this web comic, A Business Proposal. Its cliché but I am laughing at loud at every third page, so I guess it is helping me through this slump...
everything else on CR shelf remains forgotten.

That's supposed to be TJR's hot cake and you got distracted. :D
Glad that you found a fun read. :)
Bookworm & Leena - I am reading it now and then. liking it so far.
@Nathan - How is it? I see it so many lists and also one of the most rated book here on GR that is not HP or TKAMB...

@Nathan - I believe there's a movie adaptation too, right? Looking forward to your views.
Started The Cloud Roads.
Em, I have a feeling I'll like it. Thanks for the rec. :)

THE BABY WHISPERER AND THE BRUTE. The title qas just too much for me to ignore.:))

This one is going well I suppose?
Wait, so you have r, u, a after this? Or are you not going in that order and so have completed?

That's great! You're smashing the challenge! :)
Leena wrote: "you cannot imagine the guffaw and snickers Im hearing from my daughter. she's absolutely traumatised by the word Baby Whisperer and wants to know how much and what is she whispering ? she's convinc..."
Actually, now that you mention what is the protagonist whispering? 😂
I hope, it doesn't turn out to be paedophilia. I know people who go all happy and squealing when they see a baby. Maybe she's just that; who's baby crazy.
Leena wrote: "the books ok. for a title that it sports its not bad."
lets hope it stays that way. Else your daughter is going to have a field day (with your choice of titles). 😂

@ Bookworm : Wow , that was a Quick read !
@ Leena : Last Christmas in Paris sounds good . I liked the blurb .

Leena, so nanny and dad? Or nanny and uncle? Has to be either of the two.😂

I might get around to reading it sometime. Maybe we can have it for the BOTM .
Bookworm wrote: "Started Magic Bites. Just into chap 3. I'm liking it (Kate seems fun)."
it is fantastic. stick with it even if you find book 1 to be mediocre. It gets BETTER.

Yeah? Another good thing is these are not tomes. Easier to commit.
I take it you're out of the slump? :)

@Em, It does have great sequel worthy elements. Will stick to the series. :)

Guess it's just the case of strange titles then. Happy Reading!

Finished Last Night at the Telegraph Club, found it be okayish and a bit longer than necessary. Also, moved 杀破狼 Sha Po Lang to read shelf, the timing was not right.
resuming House of Sky and Breath and A Reaper at the Gates.
@bookworm - Hamnet is good. will keep an on your review.

Marz....You'll have easier time this month, I reckon. 😀
Yahtzee? As in board game inspired challenge?

Marz is definitely easier- lesser bks.

I honestly just love Loveless. It takes a lot to go through that self-discovery and accept it. I understand the agony you're talking about. Not sure if this will help but --> She's alone, but she's not lonely.
I hope your daughter liked it.
Maybe, you can pick it up later. :)

Oh. That’s interesting.

She loved it couldn't stop the buckets from filling up. She gets the fact that Im such a die hard romantuc and I really believe thats there's always someone for you, probably why i couldn't read it. I can't say i don't like it - i cannot digest it. She didn't even have a pet - one shows love differently - not another human being - fine, but animals ho,plants anything- i cannot comprehend this.

Georgia does love her friends (the platonic love without romantic feelings) and you'll know this towards the end because something happens and she's outside late at night crying which ends with one of the most heartwarming speech (sobfest basically) from her and one of the other characters. The book depicts the ace spectrum so well. I want to tell more but I don't want to spoil it incase you ever want to continue this in future. Also, respecting your views about it, I'll try not to blab anymore. :)
And just reading the way you expressed your opinion, you might just be the most die hard romantic I have come across. :D

I like your view of life , Leena . There must be someone or something to love for normal mental and physical health .
