CoHo is hit or miss author for me.
Wrapped up The Wheel of Osheim and I found it to be mediocre.
Will read Persuasion and Reminders of Him over weekend.

Avg. Loved Hopeless but i would say i was new to the genre. While the subject was shocking, execution was not good.
Regretting you, gave 3 star and i am unable to remember what it was about. :(
Verity, 2 stars, it was a real page turner and when i thought about it after i found it was not that fantastic.
Slammed, 2 stars, i have read that story numerous time.
Reminders of You, still in initial chapters.
Do you like her?

Although, I feel like re-reading LoTR & Inheritance Cycle[Christopher Paolini]
Childhood favourites ♥️

I think I know why you didn't like it. Since you like reading romance more and CH is actually a full-fledged romance writer you might be expecting the same
However, this was CH's debut thriller with a bit of her romance flavour in it but on a lighter level.
I loved the book greatly :)

verity aside, CoHo is a mediocre writer. I'm nit such zn expert- 1full bk and 1chapter only, but I truly expected more.

Well, no surprise there. Would have been if you didn't start it. :D
Happy Reading!

1. Historical BOTM 1 - In Bed with the Highlander - Maya Bznks.
Rating 2.75 🌟
2. My first of the February challenge for the Perks group.
Marriage for One by Ella Maise- The Hero is a grouch.
3. Persuasion.
4. Ive started 9 November by Colleeen Hoover. And I really loved it."

My brother told me that suhaga means borax. These Indian expressions are so high brow. They are unlike the bland English terms e.g. "Icing on the cake". "Sone pe suhaga" is a very chemical expression.

Of course, Leena, that is why I mentioned these two sayings. I cannot write or speak Hindi well, but I can understand the type of speech from Bollywood movies :)

I am curious if there are any or many authors of whom you have read every book?
For me its Joe Abercrombie, I have read everything except novellas. His fantasy world is one of the best that I have read.

It used to be Margaret Mitchell and Harper Lee, but then Lee
I have a few books by Abercrombie. Never read any book of his. Fantasy ranks high on my top 2o books ever, but paradoxically I don't go to it when I've had a slump. It usually finds me.
Does Joe Abercrombie have more than one series?
But I do understand. I started reading Mariana Zapata and first few books were hit for me but after that I got bored. Not that she write books but I always kept going back to the first few that I read. My mind refused to let go of them. And now I don't anticipate her books. :(
@Luffy - I loved GWTW but never read anything else by her. I found TKAMB okayish and Go Set A Watchmen got such bad review. Never thought of picking it.
Abercrombie has published 3 series so far. His books are character oriented, so pick when you want to read something similar.

That's the same reason I didn't pick up Go Set A watchman.
I haven't read all from an author yet. But I'm on a quest to complete all of Christie's mysteries. (that rhymed :D)
Till now 14 down, more to go. I'm trying to go slow because once done with a mystery book, don't feel like rereading it.

my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
It was fantastic. Didn't see the ending coming.

Yeah, that climax is an odd one!"
Yeah, I couldn't put it down. :)
I start mysteries/thrillers in a way that I can complete in max 2 sittings. Other genres though, depends on the length, free time etc.
The climax was a real shocker!

I'm not very attached to her works but most of family grew up with her music so its the same at my home. Beautiful voice. RIP Nightingale.

The only male singer who sang better than her was Kishore Kumar, e.g. in Mere Naina from the movie Mehbouba, and Tere Bina from the great movie Andhi. Else, Lata Mangeshkar outperformed Rafi and Mukesh with consummate ease. RIP.

All great songs. Glad we enjoy the same music. Now I'm waiting for Paul McCartney to die, so I can really go down memory lane.

2. Half way through Persuasion.
3. Such a Quiet Place by Megan Miranda - Part of my mystery botm

Sorry if I incited such a feeling from you, or if you incited such a strong feeling from such a bland joke. This is throwback to a sketch by the Onion, you can search it on YouTube.
Leena wrote: "you know Luffy, there's a strange saying that when you wish death on someone, that actually adds to their years."
If you cannot laugh about something, then you cannot think about it clearly. There is nothing so serious that we cannot laugh at it.
If death is not a joke, then what is?

Very nice summation. Wish you happy reading and I really look forward to reading more of your bookish journey.

I have been wanting to start these, hopefully from tomorrow.
The Memory Police - Very intriguing dystopian concept (similar to Orwell's 1984? Let's see).
The Guest List - Been seeing this everywhere since last yr.
The Miracles of the Namiya General Store - Higashino.

I'm reading : La Momie Qui Chuchotait

1. Persuasion - I have no words to praise Austen
.She's such a perceptive writer - her characterizations, assessments of situations and incidents ,and not leave any loose ends -wow this was a true delight.
it made me realise how differently Ive reacted to the book, now after marriage and children. in school it was just one of rhe many romance s we ticked off - I don't think I spent any time in analysing her many analogies.
2. Until Next Time - oh Good God ! what a super disappointment. I avoid series because authors cannot manage to.maintain consistency. her previous bk Didn't Expect You was superb. and then this disaster.
3. Disciplining The Duchess- this was an unexpected book. it was supposed to be a light romance with claims of bdsm. it starts off as a sweet trance so I was like - ok,this is sham advert. and then it shifts gears and how - j didn't expect the maturity I dealing with domestic abuse self identity ,appeasing everyone else except your wife. I loved it and it was the highlight of my week.

1. Portrait of a Sctosman - historical romance botm
2. Such a quiet place - mystery botm
3. either Out or Razorblade tears - both again botms.
let's see - how things pan out
