I'll probably have to watch all the episodes again right before the rest of the season comes back on. Can't wait for the wedding episode.

It is a Scottish folk song about Prince Charlie escaping to Sky..."This is interesting to me because don't they talk about this song or at least the story involved in it in the 3rd book?
That song is haunting. It will forever be the Outlander song to me. And I think it will always remind me of Jamie.
I have no idea Melissa. I woukd have to listen to it again to see if is there. According to Wikipedia, Bear McCreary changed the lyrics from lad to lass. The song is called The Skye Boat Song, and the show is only using the chorus
seriously ladies, how excited are you about this episode ?I loved this part in the book so much! how Jamie asked Claire to be honest and the 2 days after the wedding, ... and of course the wedding itself:)
I heard a comment from someone who keeps to see these ahead of time (reviewer or something) - anyway they said the last 15 minutes were very "intense"! :)
Cannot wait! I thought the same thing, Jonetta. Since in the book, her scenes weren't hot, IMO, I think these are going to scorch!
Just watched the flogging again...even absolutely knowing what a sadistic B*****d BJR is...this episode still gives me the creeps. 15 mins to go.
Well...I was really going to freak out (for the real first time) on the removal of Frank's wedding. Then she put it back on. That is such a huge part of the story for me...that she doesn't take off the ring. Favorite line..."not rape...persuasion." Lmao
Loved how the wedding was done in flashbacks. And, how traumatized Claire was initially. Well done.
And there was scorching:)
And there was scorching:)
I thought they would stop at the hips, they usually do for the men. I was very pleasantly surprised.
I sent the 16 year old to watch a movie elsewhere. He is autistic, and when he came home he asked if he could watch it next week. I said no, and explained that it would be over for four months...i think he was almost as bummed as me. He likes the show when I let him watch. He will love it when they are fighting.
So here is a picture where Sam could definitely be Roarke if only I could forget he is Hamie Fraserhttp://outlandertvnews.com/wp-content...
I was amazed at all the "looks" he has had young cute blond...brunette, redhead...he is just so Jamie in this series that all the other looks surprised me. Lol
I love this series, am listening to the book as I watch the show. I can still see Jamie as Roarke, especially in that pic shared by Dawn(thank you). I do find the shows Claire a bit condescending in her attitude to the time, that I don't get from the books Claire. Thanks for suggesting I check it out!!

I'm honestly not looking forward to it but know I'm going to watch it, like the proverbial train wreck.

I absolutely loved this episode:) the asynchrone timeframe was really good.
I like this recap very much ..

this pic funny for Jamie:)

there were scenes in the book that I would have like to see in the serie but all in all superb:)
Ness, I love that we can count on you for these great visuals!
Okay, truth time...how many times have we all watched this episode already?

Thanks Jonetta! there are so many great pics and recaps on the net it is difficult to decide:) many of them are hilarious.Ok so , to be honest between yesterday and today I've watched it 4 times, and euh some scenes much more often than that:)
there were moments I couldn't breathe as I watched them the first time.
I would have loved the honesty dialogue to stay though..we'll see if it comes later..
I've watched it four times, too. This morning I started to delete it after watching it and just couldn't.

There's a part of me that's glad they didn't have the conversation about Frank on their wedding night. The vibe was all about Jamie's excitement about his first time and his happiness of being married to Claire, along with her conflict of betraying her vows to Frank and being attracted to this incredible young man. But, I'm hoping the conversation happens in the next episode.

I agree, it is such a big part of their marriage to me...it needs to be in there somewhere. The next episode will be interesting, seeing what is happening in 1945.
yeah it really should be there. Many poeple were not happy with the ring, I wonder how they'll introduce the thisle ring in Leoch:)
I don't think they will. I think that is one of the aspects they have changed. The wedding rings are much more symbolic to the fans than I think Ron Moore knows.
Well...I don't know about that, Dawn. He ended that episode on the rings. (Hope springs eternal:))
He did, but I think that was to show her inner angst. I saw it as something he was changing, but maybe not.
Oh and the whole scene when he gives her the ring is crucial to their relationship, how he REALLY claims her, after getting angry at her (what she said about him and Laoghaire and him being free to do as he wants)..When she accepted the ring, there was a whole lot more to it than that..I wonder how it will be... I guess we'll know after the break.
I wonder what the cliffhanger will be next week..I though perhaps the scene where she realises she is finally alone when Jamie left the meet the witness. She tries to escape then and gets captured..I can imagine that as Cliffhanger..
what do you guys think
I think that could be a reasonable option. Both sides now is the title, and we know there is time spent seeing what is happening in 1945, that could tie into her escape attempt, and that does happen before they return to Leoch...
