I couldn’t remember that detail as I listened to the book about two years ago.
The producer already announced they’ve made significant changes this season, all with DG’s blessing.
Last night was the end of Tobias Menzies on the show. Very bittersweet. He’s such a fine actor who made Frank substantive and put the black in Jack Randall. *sigh*

We're at message #953. Would it be helpful to open a thread for the TV series by season, beginning with #3?
Jonetta wrote: "We're at message #953. Would it be helpful to open a thread for the TV series by season, beginning with #3?"That's a good idea. I went back and read a lot of the prior posts but the series attracts people who never read the book. It might be helpful to know this is the TV version.
I think that is a great idea Jonetta. I was expecting a lot of changes since they are cramming about 43 hours of narration time into about 12 hours of screen time. But this change effects the rest of the series in a pretty big way. I agree the time apart in the book is difficult to get through. Even 6 episodes seems like a long time lol.

I'm sure there will be a lot of changes this season. They are going to squeeze 70% of the book into seven episodes. I was trying to remember how Murtagh was in prison with Jamie. I thought I needed a re-read but I don't have time. I originally read these books years ago, close to the release time.
