I agree it was a bizarre thing to put in, but seriously...click your heels three times...had me snorting.

I think they put in the love potion scene because of what happens later when Claire is accused of witchcraft. Isn't Laoghaire the one that accuses her?
No, she is just the one who sends Claire into the village. Jamie told her to stay away from Geillis but Laohaire told Claire she was ill. The assumption is that, since she eavesdrops, knew the accusation was happening and Claire would get caught up
You're right...but it was a good "set up" type thing to lead into the witchcraft accusation. I love this TV series but I keep wishing it could slow down a wee bit. Just so much to cover in such a short time. Sometimes, I feel like my head is spinning when I watch it just keeping up with where they are in the book now.
I agree Jonetta. I realized this weekend we are halfway through the first 8 and then we have wait again :(
Can't wait for that wedding night! Uh...Wedding, I can't wait for the wedding is what I meant, of course! ;)
Oh Fuck so they are having a really long chrismas new years break..probably restart in february..I hate this:( At least we'll have an episode after the wedding:)
Yes, and i make sure to leave it on for at least four showings, even if i leave the room. I apparently missed Ron Moore and some Lethal Weapon joke during the show, so i am going to watch it again today. Helping those ratings as much as i can! Lol Sandra...i had the same reaction weeks ago. I don't think they have even released a date for next year.
the episodes are so complex and full of details my head spins sometimes, no wonder it takes so much to film...they were quite fast everything considered ..if one sees the starting date of filming..
Yes. Apparently just before the scene with DG, Ron Moore has a cameo. And people in the Outlander group mentioned a Lethal Weapon joke.
In the commentary afterwards, all Moore talked about was Gabaldon's role. Didn't mention himself and I'm clueless about the Lethal Weapon aspect.
I'm always in a Jamie daze afterwards...not sure I'd know what they said but I didn't hear it either.
Lol, this is a very funny blog post. I think i have to follow his blog...outmander. Lmaohttp://outmandersblog-wordpress.com/2...
A must read.
Oh yeah! Loved tonight's show...and that ending! They just had to cut it off right before she answered. So we have 4 more before the break? They better kick it in gear if we're getting a wedding.
I think we only have three right? Tonight was week five? Now i have to check lol. I know...i was screaming at the TV.
Yup, i double checked. Last night was week 5. We only have 3 more until the break. It has been my dilemma all along. I have wanted to get to the wedding, bit have not wanted to get to the break so fast lol
Dang! That means the wedding in 2 more shows...#7, right? Seems like it just started - this is what I don't like about it.
I know...but i guess i like that we only have to wait a few months for a fix instead of getting the season right away and waiting a year.
You guys are funny! I'm hoping now that the response is so great that they'll commit to many more segments. We still won't be pleased, though:)
Speaking of the show...what a moment when Claire finds Jamie sleeping outside her door. Her feelings just ramped up.

It was my favorite part of the episode...and Sam nailed Jamie's shocked reaction to her suggestion that he sleep in her room. Having heard Davina Porter's version of that scene, i was nervous...but he nailed it. I wonder if they have listened to the narration...
He really did! His naïveté was so authentic.
I didn't listen to the first book. One of these days I'll do a reread and listen.

I agree...Sam was perfect in that scene (of course, I think he's just about perfect in every scene!). His shock at her invitation to sleep inside her room was just priceless.
I will be one unhappy fan if they don't do many more shows!

Well, we have Dragonfly in Amber already authorized...i just keep it on as much as possible so i can add to the ratings as much as possible. My hope is to get all nine seasons
I had two reps from AT&T show up at my door Saturday to try to get me to leave my cable company for their new service. First thing I asked about was STARZ and when I said I had to have Outlander they went nuts about it.
