Serial Reader - 2018
Finished Inside Out which is the last book of the Ben Treven series which I said I would read from start to finish this year.37/75
Updated Message #110:Status: 28/54
Books read :
26. The Crimson Crown
27. Tower of Dawn
28. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The French Admiral book 2 of the Alan Lewrie series by Dewey Lambdin and a series I started before 2018.38/75
Just completed another book in the Ravenspire series - The Traitor Prince by C.J. Redwine. Most of my lack of enjoyment of this book has to do with this being one of my least favorite fairy tales. I hate the impostor scenario. Redwine's writing and characters were interesting and well-thought out. A bit of editing could have helped with some of the repetitiveness, but overall, a tight story. Worth reading. 3.5 stars23/15
I have finished Deathworld 1, the first book of the Deathworld series by Harry Harrison. I said I would read this entire series this year.39/75
Maus I: A Survivor's Tale: My Father Bleeds History book 1 of the Maus duology by Art Speigelman and a series I will read in its entirety this year.40/75
Suicide Run: Three Harry Bosch Stories by Michael Connelly. Goodreads has this collection of short stories as book 15.1 in the Harry Bosch series that I have been working on for a very long time.41/75
Just started and will not continue the Hollywood Hills clinic series - Seduced By The Heart Surgeon by Carol Marinelli. This is the danger of doing random word searches through the TBR pile. Oh well, at least it's off my TBR. Even for an erotic romance, this was poorly written. Story was entirely unbelievable as well. Not continuing the series and not worth reading. 2 stars24/15
Updated Message #110:Status: 32/55
Books Read :
31. Traitor to the Throne by Alwyn Hamilton
32. The Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
Just completed another Sisterhood book - The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares. Really well-done sequel to the first Sisterhood book! The author managed to pick up where the first book left off and quickly update the reader while getting to the story. Good character development. There was a bit of teen angsty in this book, but not quite as much as some YA includes. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars25/15
Just started the Southern Reach trilogy - Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. I appreciate what the author tried to accomplish. I like the anonymity of the expedition and the revelations through one narrator. However, I was not a fan of the lack of information about this Area X that was provided. And I'm not compelled enough to continue with the series. Worth reading. 3.5 stars26/15

Just finished the 2nd book in the Glittering court series - Midnight Jewel by Richelle Mead. The author has chosen an interesting way to tell this story. Each book focuses on the same time period, just from each girl's unique perspective. It was a bit boring at the beginning, but it became much more interesting when the tale diverted into something not covered in the first book. Worth reading. 3.5 stars28/15
